Best Beauty Products | Q1 2019

Now that it’s April, it’s time to look back at what products performed well over the first quarter of the year!  The top 100 products shown below were reviewed from January 1st through March 31st.  I guess it’s obvious that I finally managed to review some Sonia G. brushes, which did well across the board!  The other two dominant entries in the top 100 include Pat McGrath’s EYEdols Eyeshadows and Sydney Grace’s Matte Shadows/Pressed Pigments.

Some personal favorites from the last three months:

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Absolutely magnificient Christine. I guess you could say that this quarter has been about the rise of the single eyeshadow – with lots of brands bringing out stellar shades, especially SG – which is so affordable.
Some gorgeous lipstick shades too – my favourite was Maybelline’s Spice for Me.
Thank you Christine.

I am seriously thinking about buying the entire vault of Sydney Grace shadows when I come off my no buy!! I could throw away all my palettes and be happy with the shades and quality of those shadows. Of course, I don’t own a single one and my experience might be different but I doubt it. When you look at the body of work that you completed in the first quarter of 2019 and these are just the top products, it is staggering. Your dedication to the blog, to makeup and to your readers is truly staggering Christine and although I think we try to thank you, there really isn’t a thank you big enough for the service you provide for us. Speaking personally, you have saved me countless dollars, time and aggravation when it comes to purchasing my makeup. I just really sincerely appreciate all that you do.
