Sydney Grace Timber Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep, forest green with subtle, warm undertones and a cooler green shimmer. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation that applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even application that blended out with little effort. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and dense without being too firmly pressed in the pan nor was it thick/heavy. It lasted for just over eight hours on me before starting to fade noticeably.

The shimmer eyeshadows are more consistent in pigmentation with the majority of shades having opaque color coverage. The more metallic/sparkly the shade is, the creamier and more emollient the eyeshadow felt in the pan, which often yielded really smooth application and good adherence to the lid, though a few worked better with a fingertip or a dampened brush for true-to-pan color or to get a truer finish/sheen.

Most shades, however, worked well with brushes, and I didn't have trouble applying or blending out most of the shimmer shades. The more satin to pearl like finishes tend to feel a little thinner but blend out well. These shades wore between eight and nine hours on me with some of the more foiled-like shades creasing noticeably at the end (and the less foiled-like ones fading).

Evergreen

Sydney Grace Evergreen Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark green with very subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented where a little went a long way, so I’d recommend using less than you think you might need initially. The consistency was soft, velvety, and a smidgen powdery in the pan but proved to blend out beautifully without fallout. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading slightly.

Formula Overview

$5.25/0.06 oz. - $87.50 Per Ounce

The matte eyeshadows tend to be pigmented (typically semi-opaque or opaque, often buildable if they aren't opaque) with a soft, more velvety texture that has slight slip but isn't so thick that it gets difficult to use, applies unevenly, or has a lot of fallout. I've found that most of the matte eyeshadows apply and blend out without much effort but a few may take a bit more effort to diffuse along the edges. The matte formula tends to wear between eight and eight and a half hours on me.

Sydney Grace Hidden Treasure Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, white gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage that adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being too stiff to work with in the pan. Ladies Dancing

Sydney Grace Ladies Dancing Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool undertones and a frosted sheen. The pigmentation was opaque in one layer, which applied well to bare skin and blended out easily along the edges. The eyeshadow had a smooth, lightly creamy, and dense consistency that still picked up well with softer brushes and yielded good color coverage. It lasted well for eight and a half hours on me before I noticed faint creasing.

Red Chameleon

Sydney Grace Red Chameleon Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is medium, reddish-bronze base with gold-to-green shifting pearl that gave it a metallic finish. The consistency was incredibly soft and more loosely-pressed, so I had to take greater care picking it up or else there would be too much on my brush, which led to fallout. It was easier to apply this shade with a fingertip or a dampened brush. It seemed to have more slip to it, which helped the powder smooth out on my skin. It wore well for eight hours on me before it started to crease a bit.

Sutter

Sydney Grace Sutter Shimmer Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, chartreuse green with warm undertones and a faint, golden sheen. It had nearly oapque color payoff that applied evenly but took a bit more effort to diffuse along the edges. The texture seemed on the drier, thinner side, particularly compared to most of the brand’s eyeshadows. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably on me.

Sydney Grace Ice Fishing Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark, navy blue with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. I picked up Red Chameleon a couple weeks ago (you hadn’t reviewed it but I took a gamble) and holy cow it is the softest and creamiest eyeshadow I’ve ever owned. It’s quite different from the other eyeshadows in my order. This isn’t really a complaint, it’s beautiful! But it definitely has a unique texture.

This is another stunning look, Christine. Maybe my second favorite after, you guessed it, the Viseart Coy and Natasha Denona look! I love all the shades in this so it is a definite possibility as I am collecting a few SG shadows that I am purchasing very soon. I have been successful on my no buy for 2 months now so I may have to reward myself. I am sort of planning a trip to Seattle in April so if I can hold off I am going to look at other palettes released and if I don’t find anything I can’t live without then SG and Viseart are on my list for my only two palettes I am buying this year.

Wowzers! Your eye look is incredible! ?

I was so hoping that Ice Fishing would be the perfect warmer hued navy for me. And then I saw that UD Prank is a dupe, and I have 2 pans of it! Both have a small dent in them since Prank is the one navy I can wear and not have it clash with my coloring. The difference, I believe, is that Ice Fishing has no shimmer. So, maybe?
