ColourPop Fairest of All Super Shock Highlighter Review & Swatches
Fairest of All
ColourPop Fairest of All Super Shock Cheek (Highlighter) ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. It was one of the more shimmery/metallic shades in the collection, though it didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. The texture was smooth, wet to the touch, but it was thin, lightweight, and felt more powder-like as soon as it was applied to my cheeks. It had buildable pigmentation from sheer to opaque, where duo-fiber brushes yielded sheerer, more buildable coverage and fingertips yielded more opaque coverage (as described). The color applied well to my skin, blended out nicely, and stayed on well for 10 hours before fading slightly.

I’m glad this got such a good review, but I’m very surprised it’s a gold shade and not a pearly white shade. Kind of a missed opportunity there.
I find it pretty ironic that this shade is called “Fairest of them all” and would not work on fair skin tones at all. lol.
I think CP is messing with our minds giving a rich gold shade the name “Fairest Of All”! LOL! Then again, the Evil Queen was obsessed with being exactly that, so my guess is that CP is calling her out on that in a rather facetious manner! Anywho, I love it! Both the shade and the *shade*, if you get my drift. ?
I love it, too! I think the colorism and racism of “fair” meaning both “light” AND “good” (by no coincidence) is gross, to the point that I don’t personally use the term (if you ask me, I’ll say I’m pale); the “fairest” highlighter having a richer tone makes me happy.
Wow – such a vibrant gold shade. I don’t think that porcelain skin tones could really wear this shade, but it is pretty.
Briefly considered getting this, but the fact that I already have 4 or 5 yellow-based highlighters, combined with the fact that I’m anti-“fairest of them all” (i.e. I don’t believe being prettier than others is something to strive for, so this particular villain’s theme doesn’t resonate with me), I managed to talk myself out of it.
