Sydney Grace Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (“A Green & Copper Look”)
Dark Roast
Sydney Grace Dark Roast Matte Shadow ($5.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark brown with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, lightly dusty texture that was blendable and easy to work with as it didn’t have fallout yet diffused well along the edges. This shade stayed on well for eight hours on me before fading slightly.

Formula Overview
$5.00/0.06 oz. - $83.33 Per Ounce
The matte eyeshadows tend to be pigmented (typically semi-opaque or opaque, often buildable if they aren't opaque) with a soft, more velvety texture that has slight slip but isn't so thick that it gets difficult to use, applies unevenly, or has a lot of fallout. I've found that most of the matte eyeshadows apply and blend out without much effort but a few may take a bit more effort to diffuse along the edges. The matte formula tends to wear between eight and eight and a half hours on me.

Up Front
Sydney Grace Up Front Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich, deep bronze with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had rich color payoff that applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even application that was blendable along the edges. The texture was denser, cream-like, and soft to the touch without being too firmly nor too loosely pressed in the pan. It wore well on my lid for eight and a half hours before it creased slightly.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.06 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The shimmer eyeshadows are more consistent in pigmentation with the majority of shades having opaque color coverage. The more metallic/sparkly the shade is, the creamier and more emollient the eyeshadow felt in the pan, which often yielded really smooth application and good adherence to the lid, though a few worked better with a fingertip or a dampened brush for true-to-pan color or to get a truer finish/sheen. Most shades, however, worked well with brushes, and I didn't have trouble applying or blending out most of the shimmer shades. The more satin to pearl like finishes tend to feel a little thinner but blend out well. These shades wore between eight and nine hours on me with some of the more foiled-like shades creasing noticeably at the end (and the less foiled-like ones fading).

Strawberries & Cream
Sydney Grace Strawberries & Cream Pressed Pigment Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark peach with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin with a very high-shine finish. The texture was soft, more loosely-pressed compared to most shades in the range, but it wasn’t prone to fallout or sheering out when I worked with it. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before I noticed faint creasing.

What gorgeous autumnal shades with a variety of finishes. I love Up Front the best.
Stunning eye look Christine.
Thanks so much, Genevieve!
As if I need any more neutral family eyeshadows, I’ve just fallen in love with 4 of the above! Lost Princess (not *really* neutral), Dark Roast, Up Front and Strawberries & Cream. Those with my existing MAC Orb and Kid (or Soft Brown) could make for quite a smoky eye with a little flame thrown in!
The coppery shades are really pretty, but Token has my attention for being more unusual.
Monochrome is in, and I feel some looks with CP paper tiger and an old Dior shade in that family coming on. Token gets my vote as well. And plenty of others. Have restrained myself since the first order, and impressed myself. And Grounds, which caught my eye on the site, strikes me as my perfect deepening shade. So many are really dark/just look black on deep set eyes.
I love monochrome looks, but haven’t tried a mustard one. Great idea! I have deep-set, hooded eyes — Please let me know how Grounds works out as a deepening shade for you.
I have about $200 dollars worth of product sitting in my cart on Sydney Grace’s page. I am having a hard time narrowing down what to get as they are all so beautiful. It would have to count as my e/s purchases for the year so I am going very slowly. It would be my first purchase from the brand and looking at previous reviews and eye looks, I don’t think I could go wrong with whatever I picked up. My problem is that I want to recreate Christine’s look using the Sydney Grace and Viseart Coy palettes but not sure about the Coy palette. Either purchase would be expensive. Anyway, I am going to take my time and make the right choice. Love this look also.
