Top 100 Products

Bite Beauty is having their first Friends & Family sale (20% off sitewide) now through 11/7, and I thought in the spirit of best of products… what about a look at the top 100 permanent Bite Beauty products that I’ve reviewed?

There aren’t too many Bite Beauty formulas that I haven’t really enjoyed. I love their Amuse Bouche Lipstick range (here are some faves). The Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick range is fantastic if you like creamy, glossy liquid lipstick formulations in brighter pops of color. Their Lip Pencil range is incredibly diverse from beige to black, and it is one of the more comfortable pencils to use all-over the lips. Perhaps the product that I’ve come to adore the most from their range is their Creme Lip Gloss–I desperately wish they had more shades! One product that’s been a staple in my stash but isn’t on the list (doesn’t have a letter rating) is the Agave Lip Mask; it’s a heavier, tackier lip balm that’s great for more intensive hydration (it’s a nighttime balm for me).

What an accomplishment. No wonder they took the world by storm. And they have maintained their quality, through the (few, to me) years and through various iterations of lip product. I probably ought not revisit this list, lol.

Hey Christine!

I wish it wasn’t the case, but I think the colors from the “edgy neutrals” collection (Portobello, Porcini, Cremini, Enoki) are all discontinued :(. They were just limited edition. I know that because I desperately tried to get another bullet of Porcini, because it might be my all time favorite color (and there really isn’t a good dupe for it!).

Thanks for bringing this to my attention – I tried very hard to comb through the list for any discontinued formulas but didn’t realize these were LE as they were marked as permanent on my end (based on the info I received from PR – just checked my emails!).

I got the Bite Beauty Lip Crayon in Glace with VIB points and was really pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and the coverage it provided. I’ve been more interested in clean beauty of late, and I’m happy to know that Bite is a great option. I wish they didn’t have the fragrance and taste though.

Personal chemistry is so odd. Not only am I the total minority in disliking the agave, I can’t get it out of the tube! (And Nudestix mattes look like patches of cracked paint, nastyyy.) The only other bite complaint is the little pops of sweetener: unnecessary, but at least it isn’t saccharine. That hasn’t stopped me from getting one hefty bite stash. btw, what highlighters did you get?

I bought my first tube of Agave Lip Mask last winter, and I had the same reaction as you – couldn’t even get it out of the tube and threw it in a drawer. I tried it again in the summer with much better results and now I love it. It’s worth the “squeeze,” ha!

Some of my recent and noteworthy highlight purchases lately have been DOC Bathe (so good), Pretty Vulgar Glow Up, and Morphe Boom, which I enjoy as an eyeshadow. And I just ordered Nars Hot Tryst from Nordstrom today so I can’t wait to play around with that! 🙂 I have not slowed down one bit!

Thank you for putting together this list of the top 100 Bite lip products Christine! Definitely appreciative of this virtual guidebook. Bite is one of the most consistently great performing of lip products around. So far, I’ve only had one singular “fail” from them, last winter’s Mauvember Liquefied Lipstick. Everything else has been stellar!

I haven’t tried a Bite Beauty lipstick I didn’t love. I also quite love their Agave lip balm and mask. The balm keeps my poor dry lips hydrated during the day and the mask literally heals them at night. I think what makes Bite stand out is that they focus on one type of product and that focus leads to exceptionally high quality. I hope they don’t deviate from lips.

I picked up two of the liquified lipsticks during a sale, and am honestly struggling to get the hang of them. Look and feel nice, but I get a bit frustrated by how much they transfer and the wear time.

Seems like the formula is best over a pencil or stain?

Liz, last year during the sale I picked the mini set of liquified lipsticks and then the regular version of Éclair. I wasn’t a fan in the beginning but then I applied them directly on the lips (no balm, lip pencil or primer) and what I’ve noticed is that once the LL applied, the oils from the lipstick get absorbed into the lips and the colour sets in beautifully. I have very dry lips and usually I can’t wear a lipstick (bullet or liquid) without a lip balm. I wore Braised today and while it’s not transfer proof, the colour stayed a long time on the lips, even after drinks. I prefer not to wear this formula in summer or when it’s hot and humid, however it’s a blessing during the cold season.

You’re welcome Liz! Try them in this way. This particular formula is full of oils, glycerin and monoi butter, therefore it will never dry down. The good news: all these oils will moisturize your lips and the LL will have a shine as long as it remains on your lips.

I don’t think I’ve ever been more loyal to a product than I am to the Agave lip mask! Totally worth the $$$, a single tube can last me more than a year of daily use. I got a holiday set that contained mini tubes of the original, Maple, and LE Candy Cane since I’m almost out of my full-size tube. Both the old Luminous Creme and new Amuse Bouche formulas are great as well. Looking through this list made me add like 10 things to my wishlist! I love seeing such a consistently great brand, especially one that keeps its focus narrow.

I don’t have any Bite Beauty lipsticks myself, very expensive here in Aus., but I do like Nori and it has a dupe in the ColourPop range of Chocolatier – which I have ordered.
And looking at this incredible list of excellent lip products, I do agree with you Christine, that their range is somewhat limited in shades.

The only Bite Beauty products I’ve tried are the Liquified Lipsticks. I have 2 of them, & absolutely love them! Great colors, last well, & are a blessing to my permanently dry lips, even living in So. Florida. I’m going to pick up a couple of more, plus some lip pencils. Maybe try a lipstick.

Wow, 100 items and non under an A- rating-talk about brand consistency! I love all my Bite lipsticks, although I do prefer a drier formula for lip liners.
