Bite Beauty #062, 068, 066 Lip Pencils Reviews, Photos, Swatches
#062
Bite Beauty #062 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which was just creamy enough to maneuver over the lips for filling in as well as for lining. I noticed that a little bit of color pulled into my lip lines but did not seem to get worse over time. The color lasted for six hours and was non-drying. I think it would work best with Amuse Bouche shades: Sorbet (slightly pinker), Fig (pinker, more muted) see comparison swatches.
The Lip Pencil is supposed to have “perfect, allover, opaque lip coverage” with a lightweight feel. The formula worked exceptionally well for lining the edges of the lips and keeping lipstick on longer and more within the lines (e.g. a lipstick feathers on its own wouldn’t feather when layered over one of the lip pencils). Some shades worked well for filling in the lips for all over color, but a few applied more unevenly or were less comfortable to fill in with. The consistency was soft, just barely creamy–almost more velvety than creamy–and oddly spreadable, as it was infinitely easier to even out the color by rubbing my lips together than applying more product. The formula has a lightweight feel on the lips, and the wear ranged from five to six hours for light to medium-hued shades with some of the deeper and richer shades lasting well over six hours. They will require sharpening, and as they are creamier, it was easiest to keep them in a cool place or in the freezer (for a few minutes) prior to sharpening to minimize any mess in the sharpener.

The consistency was soft, just barely creamy–almost more velvety than creamy–and oddly spreadable, as I found the best way to “even” out the coverage was to press my lips together, and while there was a touch of tackiness, the color almost always appeared more even after that than if I kept trying to maneuver and push the color around with the pencil itself. They do feel lightweight, and they lasted anywhere from five to six hours on their own. They weren’t spectacularly long-wearing as a standalone lip product, but they extended the wear of lipsticks by two to four hours.

Bite Beauty #068 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in one stroke, which translated on the lips when I filled in the color all-over. The consistency was smooth, creamy enough to line the edges of the lips without getting ragged edges and fairly comfortable when used to fill in for all-over color. It was best blended/evened out by gently pressing lips together and rubbing. This shade wore well for six hours on me and was non-drying. I think it would work best with Amuse Bouche shades: Sweet Cream (warmer, more muted), Pickled Ginger (darker, pinker) see comparison swatches.

#066
Bite Beauty #066 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation, though it was a little shy of being truly full coverage (even layered and blended out). The consistency was also drier compared to most in the range, but it still applied with minimal tugging and was comfortable to wear. The lip pencil wore well for six and a half hours and was just a touch drying after five hours of wear. I think it would work best with Amuse Bouche shade(s): Pickled Ginger (brighter) see comparison swatches.

I am really liking #068 for a good coral pencil to blank out all purplish tones in my own lips when wearing a coral, or more difficult yet, a lighter coral-pink. The other day I mentioned how Nyx doesn’t have a coral Slim Pencil, they oddly have one called Coral that I bought a few years back, but it is actually a light shimmery peach shade, NOT coral at all! Perhaps they have one in their recent shade expansion, but Idk yet.
It’s nice that they added some corals to the line-up!
I guess they must really want you to wear a liner with Pickled Ginger!
lol!
#062 and #068 are going on my wishlist
Yay!
Hooray for pinky corals! I’m having trouble deciphering the differences between the second two, though, but perhaps it is more apparent in person?
The difference is subtle for sure!
Impressive, this line is scoring very well!
