#008
Bite Beauty #008 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a muted, peachy coral with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had good color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. The texture was velvety but not actually wet, creamy, or emollient, and it was thinner overall, so it clung to lips. I didn’t feel like it was drying, nor was it uncomfortable to wear, but it did emphasize my lip lines a bit on its own. It lasted for five hours by itself and was neither drying nor hydrating. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Meringue; I think it would work well with Sorbet (brighter, pinker), Rhubarb (darker), Meringue (lighter, slightly warmer), or Fig (darker, cooler) — see comparison swatches.
The Lip Pencil formula is supposed to have “perfect, allover, opaque lip coverage” with a lightweight feel. I think the formula worked exceptionally well for lining the edges of the lips and keeping color on longer and more within the lines (e.g. a lipstick feathers on its own wouldn’t feather when layered over one of the lip pencils). Some shades worked well for filling in the lips for all over color, but some applied more unevenly or were less comfortable to fill in with. The consistency was soft, just barely creamy–almost more velvety than creamy–and oddly spreadable, as I found the best way to “even” out the coverage was to press my lips together, and while there was a touch of tackiness, the color almost always appeared more even after that than if I kept trying to maneuver and push the color around with the pencil itself. They do feel lightweight, and they lasted anywhere from five to six hours on their own. They weren’t spectacularly long-wearing as a standalone lip product, but they extended the wear of lipsticks by two to four hours.

#010
Bite Beauty #010 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a muted, rosy plum with subtle, warm undertones and a pearl sheen. The consistency was firmer and harder to spread; the pearl finish seemed to be more unforgiving than the more matte shades in the formula. It felt clingy, thin, and was harder to spread and build-up coverage. I felt like this was only tolerable to define the edges of my lips rather than all-over. It lasted for five hours but felt somewhat drying. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Sake or Pepper; I think it would work well with Rhubarb (darker), Sake (lighter, cooler), and Pepper (darker) — see comparison swatches.

Bite Beauty #012 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium, muted pink with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had good pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. There was enough substance to the texture that it didn’t make my lips appear drier or more textured than they naturally were. The color lasted for five hours and was non-drying. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Thistle; I think it would work well with Sake (darker), Sugarcane (lighter, warmer), Souffle (lighter), and Thistle (darker, cooler) — see comparison swatches.

So far the formula and swatches of all these items indicate top quality! Really looking forward to trying more colours! #022 is my favourite so far!!
They’re good! I don’t think they’re like… the most revolutionary, all-time greatest Lip Pencil, but they’re good.
#12 is definitely on my list
Nice! 🙂
I think these’ll be great for me! I tend to prefer stiffer lip liners like the MAC liners, instead of very creamy ones like ColourPop because I feel like I have more control. A lot of people probably won’t like them, since I feel like using lip liners as all-over color is more popular these days, but for people like me who use lip liners to actually line lips and blend lipstick, these will be perfect. I’ll definitely pick up one or two to try out.
I expect you’ll enjoy these – they’re somewhere between the two! I like waxier pencils for filling in lips (like UD) but the firmer ones are good for defining edges.
I’m hoping BITE will come out with lip pencils for their more unique lip colors like Tara, Kale, Squid Ink, etc…
Me too 🙁
#012 reminds me a LOT of Nyx Mauve Slim Lip Liner, which I’ve used to death! Considering that I did opt to use Mauve while trying on Thistle, I’d say that’s an accurate pairing.
Btw; I did like Thistle on me, not as corpsey gray as I had feared, though still has an edginess to it.
Yay! So glad Thistle looked good on you afterall!
Again, not my shades! But I’m digging this formula!! I’m quite interested!
Happy to hear it 🙂
I am waiting for your review of #016. It appears to come closest to my HG lipliner, Chanel Nude, at a significantly lower price.
I’m going in order, so that will be in the next post!
This sharp tip looks so cool!
Haha! I was worried how they’d photograph.
12 is nice!
It is!
those are quite long and sharp points D:
