#002
Bite Beauty #002 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation in one stroke, and it applied decently for all-over color on my lips. The texture was thin, smooth without being truly creamy or emollient, and I found the best way to smooth and even out the color was to press and lightly rub my lips together. This shade lasted for five hours on its own and was non-drying but some color seemed to clump in my lip lines. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular liner with Sugarcane; I think it would work well with Sorbet (slightly darker, pinker), Meringue (lighter, warmer), Sugarcane (lighter), and Fig (darker) — see comparison swatches.
The Lip Pencil formula is supposed to have “perfect, allover, opaque lip coverage” with a lightweight feel. I think the formula worked exceptionally well for lining the edges of the lips and keeping color on longer and more within the lines (e.g. a lipstick feathers on its own wouldn’t feather when layered over one of the lip pencils). Some shades worked well for filling in the lips for all over color, but some applied more unevenly or were less comfortable to fill in with. The consistency was soft, just barely creamy–almost more velvety than creamy–and oddly spreadable, as I found the best way to “even” out the coverage was to press my lips together, and while there was a touch of tackiness, the color almost always appeared more even after that than if I kept trying to maneuver and push the color around with the pencil itself. They do feel lightweight, and they lasted anywhere from five to six hours on their own. They weren’t spectacularly long-wearing as a standalone lip product, but they extended the wear of lipsticks by two to four hours.

Bite Beauty #004 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had great pigmentation–nearly opaque–with a lightweight, thin but not clingy, texture that was fairly comfortable to apply and blended well for even coverage. The color wore well for five hours on its own and was non-drying. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular liner with Sugarcane or Fig; I think it would work well with Sorbet (a bit brighter) or Fig (darker) — see comparison swatches.

Bite Beauty #006 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly without tugging on the lips. The texture was thin, a little clingy with a touch of tackiness, but it was comfortable to wear for the five hours it lasted for. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Sugarcane, Fig, or Meringue; I think it would work well with Sake (darker, more muted), Fig (darker, warmer), and Sugarcane (lighter, warmer) — see comparison swatches.

Can I just say your camera is insane?!? You can see every single detail in the wood.
You can!
I see the products in your pictures better than i can see them in store !
I’m glad these are getting good marks for the price point and the non-long wear formula. I would be tempted to get 004 maybe in the future.
I liked how they at least blended out – a lot of lip liners won’t once you get them on at all!
So true!
They seem nice but nothing spectacular.
They’re not super drying, which is their best feature, I’d say!
I Dont like these shades, but Im interested the formula!
Hopefully, you can find one that catches your eye!
These look almost lethal in their pointy sharp tips. What are they like to sharpen, Christine? I’m guessing that retaining that sharp tip is almost impossible (and messy?).
Haha! Yes, they were VERY sharp and long, and I was honestly surprised they did not all break on me when I tried swatching! I had one break on me, and sharpening it was fine with UD’s sharpener for me – but no, you will not get the point they have here upon arrival! (IMO, a good thing, as it would be too sharp for comfort!)
