Pretty Vulgar Sparkling Sass Shimmering Swan Highlighter ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a medium gold with warm, orange undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was incredibly soft and finely-milled with a velvety feel that bordered on cream-like. It had opaque color payoff that applied well to bare skin with even, smooth coverage that blended out with little effort. It stopped just short of emphasizing my skin’s natural texture, but I could see it potentially doing so on more textured skin. This shade stayed on well for nine hours before I noticed any fading.

P.S. — Mine is broken because I managed to drop it from about five feet onto hardwood floor while getting it out of the box, so it was as if I threw it onto the ground.

Pretty Vulgar Glow Up Shimmering Swan Highlighter ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a light, golden peach with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, moderately dense, almost cream-like consistency that was easy to apply and blend out on my skin. The product did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture, but it was a stronger highlighter so it wouldn’t be for someone looking for something subtle. This shade wore well for nine hours on me before fading slightly.

Pretty Vulgar Nightingale Eyeshadow Palette ($35.00 for 0.55 oz.) contains 12 eyeshadows in an arrangement of soft, neutral shades with a cooler, grayer tones. The palette is made out of sturdy cardboard and has a large mirror underneath the lid. The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be “ultra-smooth, color-rich, blendable” that is “long-wearing” and “supremely creamy.” My experience with these as hit or miss; some shades were amazing but others were hard to work with. I have no idea how the brand managed to make such a poor beige eyeshadow!

Pretty Vulgar Early Bird Eyeshadow Palette ($35.00 for 0.55 oz.) contains 12 eyeshadows in an arrangement of soft, neutral shades with a peach/pink leaning. The palette is made out of sturdy cardboard and has a large mirror underneath the lid. The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be “ultra-smooth, color-rich, blendable” that is “long-wearing” and “supremely creamy.” I was less impressed with this palette compared to the Prettie Birdie palette. This one had several shades that had more medium to semi-opaque pigmentation with only a handful that were truly pigmented. Many of the eyeshadows in this palette were powdery or dusty, which led to shorter wear and more difficult application.

It had semi-sheer pigmentation that did not build up at all, and the texture was noticeably dusty and prone to sheering out further so it did not have much coverage. True Colors is a light-medium, pinky mauve with warmer undertones and a glittery, metallic finish. The texture was soft, more loosely pressed in the pan, which resulted in chunkier product coming off of the pan’s surface. It was messy to use on the lid as well as kicked up a lot of excess product within the pan. It had good pigmentation, though, and mostly opaque coverage on the lid itself (even after the fallout). The eyeshadow stayed on well for seven and a half hours, though there was a bit of additional fallout while worn.

Pretty Vulgar Pretty Birdie Eyeshadow Palette ($35.00 for 0.55 oz.) contains 12 eyeshadows in an arrangement of brighter, more colorful hues in a variety of finishes. The palette is made out of sturdy cardboard and has a large mirror underneath the lid. The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be “ultra-smooth, color-rich, blendable” that is “long-wearing” and “supremely creamy.” The palette was fairly good–not perfect but surprisingly workable without a primer–with semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation, slightly dusty textures, and six to eight-hour wear. If you normally wear eyeshadow primer, a lot of the issues iron themselves out.

The texture was soft, slightly looser in the pan, which caused some excess product to get kicked up in the pan used as well as the eyeshadow to sheer out a bit on the lid. It had good pigmentation, which was buildable, that applied evenly to bare skin. This shade started to fade noticeably after seven hours of wear.

Head Bitch is a muted, medium-dark eggplant purple with warm, brown undertones and a soft, pearly shimmer. The pigmentation was nearly opaque, and the color applied true-to-pan with even coverage to the lid. It had a soft, smooth consistency that was blendable and easy to work with on the lid. The eyeshadow wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Pretty Vulgar Sweet Revenge Make Them Blush Powder Blush ($26.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a slightly muted, medium coral-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a very subtle sheen–more like a “natural matte” blush when applied and diffused on the cheeks.

The formula is supposed to have “silky smooth” feel, long-wear, and be “pigment-rich.” I would describe the formula as thin with buildable coverage from medium, and long-wearing, but it was by no means “pigment-rich” as it took two to three layers for more opaque coverage. The powder was thinner and harder to diffuse and blend out on the skin; it was the type of product that tended to stick strongly wherever it was initially applied and would take stronger buffing to pull and spread the color outward. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Pretty Vulgar Baby Doll Against BS Bury Them with a Smile Matte Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation–just shy of full coverage–that applied evenly across the lips and did not drag or tug. The consistency was smooth, thin but not clingy, and comfortable to wear for the four hours this shade lasted on me, though there was some color that had sunk into my lip lines (both initially as well as later on during wear). The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.

It’s supposed to have “full coverage” with a hydrating, “long-lasting” formula and an “ultimate matte finish.” I only purchased three shades (there are eight) to try, but based on those three, the formula has a smooth, velvety consistency that is thinner but not clingy. There was enough slip that they did not tug when applied directly to the lips, but they did not slide around while worn. There was a tendency for color to settle into my lip lines a bit, which was more noticeable with the lightest shade I tried. They lasted between four to six and a half hours and were non-drying. I didn’t notice any scent or taste.

It had nearly opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly on the lips. The lipstick was smooth, velvety with just enough slip to make for easy application but prevented the color from sliding around while worn. This shade wore well for six and a half hours, left a faint stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating.

The color payoff was mostly opaque, but my lip freckle peeked through slightly. The color applied evenly, which made it easy to wear on its own (sometimes, deeper shades can appear streaky when they are not full coverage). It had a thin, lightweight texture that was velvety in feel and did not drag on the lips. The color lasted well for over six and a half hours on me, while the formula was non-drying.

Pretty Vulgar Mirror, Mirror Make Them Blush Powder Blush ($26.00 for 0.20 oz.) is an intense, bright pink with cooler undertones and warmer, gold shimmer. It was richly pigmented–a little went a long way–and even a light hand would be highly recommended to start, regardless of your skin tone! The base color is cooler, while the gold shimmer adds noticeable warmth, though it still looked a little cooler-toned when blended out on my skin tone but may appear cooler on cool undertones and warmer on those with stronger, warm undertones.

The formula is supposed to have “silky smooth” feel, long-wear, and be “pigment-rich.” The powder was smooth, dense but not stiff or difficult to pick up, and very blendable on the skin. The latter was absolutely key given how pigmented the product was, and while shimmery, it did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture at all. When I tested the blush for wear, the color wore exceptionally well for nine hours before I started to see some fading.
