Smokin' Purp is a blackened purple with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had sheer coverage, though I noticed after several passes of color, a single pass became more medium to semi-opaque in coverage, so I guess there was some exterior layer that needed to be worked through that prevented coverage from coming through. The pencil didn't tug on my arm when I initially swatched it, but it absolutely dragged painfully on my lid and lips and to a lesser degree, my lash line.
As an eyeliner, it wore well for eight hours but looked uneven and patchy, and I had no ability to smudge or soften the line at all. As an eyeshadow, the color started to flake off around the eight-hour mark, and it applied dismally: uneven, patchy, and painfully. As a lip color, it applied more evenly, though it did not adhere well to my inner area of my lips and lifted away if I gently pressed my lips together, which created a patchy mess after one press.
