Avant-Premiere #4 is a deep, reddish brown with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It seemed mostly matte, but it wasn't as flat/powdery as most mattes and seemed to have a more natural finish to it. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to opaque coverage with two layers. The texture was soft, smooth, and felt a little emollient to the touch, which made me worry that it would apply unevenly but it ended up going on well and blending out nicely. It wore well for eight hours on me before I noticed any fading.

Highly pigmented, the ultra-creamy formula transforms into a powder when applied to the lids, - giving the range of matte, satin and sparkling finishes a long-lasting effect. As the brand’s Make-Up Artist Linda Cantello suggests, “the only rule is beauty” – so feel free to go as natural or intense as you’d like.
