It is supposed to have "maximum color and brilliance" and "shine like 30 coats of lacquer." The formula has a mint scent but not much flavor from what I could detect. While the brand's general description is "maximum color," they seem to modify that with individual shade descriptions as several shades are specifically described as "opaque" and a few are noted as "sheer" with the remainder having no specific coverage descriptor (as of April/May 2020). Marc Jacobs Beauty Tan-tastic Glo O!Mega x Three Powder Blush-Bronze-Highlighter Palette ($49.00 for 0.86 oz.) is a new, limited edition trio that includes a matte blush, matte bronzer, and shimmery highlighter. Though I’ve found myself enjoying most of the brand’s recent cheek products, the trio was a miss; the bronzer wasn’t as good as the standalone version, while the blush was decent, but the highlighter was disappointing.

Tan-tastic Glo (Blush) is a light-medium, coral-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was silky-smooth, finely-milled, and fairly blendable, though it was a little powdery in the pan. It applied evenly and had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Tan-tastic (Trio) is a light brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. Though it was intended to be the same as the original release, it was significantly lighter and less neutral/rose-toned. The texture was soft, velvety, and finely-milled, but it was more powdery and appeared slightly dry on my skin. It didn’t blend out as evenly as I expected, even over set foundation. It lasted for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Tan-tastic Glo (Highlighter) is a light gold with moderate, warm undertones–it looked more orange in the pan than it appeared on my skin, which was much yellower. The texture was firmer, denser, and thicker, which resulted in a powder that was hard to pick up on a brush and didn’t adhere as evenly or as readily to my skin. It blended out decently, but it had a low-level sheen despite looking more intense in the pan. The highlighter had semi-opaque, buildable coverage that wore well for eight hours.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Blacquer Coffee Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon ($25.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a deep, taupe-brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which built up somewhat with overlapping, shorter strokes during application, but it was waxier and wasn’t as pigmented nor as easy to apply evenly as I’ve experienced with the formula previously. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.

They wear shorter on the waterline (six to nine hours) and longer on the lower lash line (nine to twelve hours). The formula is fantastic for lining, but the one thing that makes me hesitate is that the past iterations of the liners have dried out in as little as one year (with some lasting two years or longer), though I have noticed the more shimmery shades are first to dry out.

It had semi-sheer pigmentation, which I was able to build up to semi-opaque coverage with shorter, more overlapping strokes, but I had to use a lot more passes than I’d expect based on my experience with this formula! The consistency was comfortable to work with, as it glided across my lash line easily, though it felt waxier than usual. There were signs of fading present after nine hours of wear.

It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, finely-milled consistency that felt really lovely to the touch, but it looked drier when applied to my skin. Tantalize Glo (Highlighter) is a light peach with warmer undertones and a frosted finish. It had semi-sheer pigmentation–possibly medium if texture wasn’t an issue–but harder to build up. The powder was thicker but stiffer to work with, so it was hard to pick up product, which resulted in less product actually getting onto my skin. It could have been easier to blend, too. It lasted decently for seven and a half hours on me.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye Pick You 4-Piece Eye Crayon Set ($39.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a new, limited edition set of three, travel-sized Highliner Gel Crayons and one, full-sized Fineliner. There are two new, exclusive shades to the sett–Cherry on Taupe and Cherry Amour–which performed consistently with the brand’s other shimmery eyeliners. They were semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, comfortable and easy to use, and long-wearing.

Blacquer

Blacquer is a deep, inky black with a subtle sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which applied evenly to my lash line and water line without skipping or tugging uncomfortably. The texture was lightly creamy–wetter than the other three eyeliners–but smooth and easy to work with. It wore well for 11 hours before fading visibly.

The formula is supposed to have an ultra-fine tip (2mm) that "glides on precisely" for "all-day wear" that is "waterproof." They are typically nearly opaque to opaque in coverage in one, smooth and fluid line. The consistency is creamy, smooth, and not prone to skipping, while the creaminess ensures that it doesn't tug or pull at the lash line (or water line). I find that some shades apply well on my lower waterline but not the upper waterline (like Blacquer doesn't want to adhere to my waterline at all but Grapevine goes on like butter). They have lasted between eight and 12 hours, depending on placement and level of allergies I'm enduring at a particular moment (my eyes are normally watery but when I'm dealing with more noticeable allergies, I'm always leaking out of the corner of my eye).

The texture was smooth, lightly emollient–more of a velvety glide than wetter, creamier feel–that applied opaque coverage across my lash line in a single, fluid stroke. It lasted well for 12 hours before fading slightly.

Cherry on Taupe is a medium, rosy mauve with subtle, warm undertones and fine, multi-colored pearl that gave it a soft, metallic finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff in a single layer, which was buildable to mostly opaque coverage. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy so it didn’t drag or tug on my lower lash line but didn’t migrate while it was setting. It wore well for 12 hours before showing signs of fading.

The eyeliner had nearly opaque color payoff in one pass, which adhered evenly to my lash line and didn’t drag or tug during application.
