Marc Jacobs Supa Dupa Fly & Cherry Moon Enamored Lip Lacquers Reviews & Swatches
Supa Dupa Fly (350)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Supa Dupa Fly (350) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a deep burgundy with subtle, cool undertones paired with a glossy, cream finish. It had medium coverage (but it was described as “opaque”), and while a second layer would improve the coverage, the gloss itself had enough thickness that two layers made it feel thick, heavy, and was harder to keep in place.
In a single pass, the texture was smooth, spreadable, and lightweight, though it had more of a medium thickness with light stickiness but had imperfection application–a bit of unevenness and some product sank into my lip lines. It wore well for five hours and felt hydrating over time.

It is supposed to have "maximum color and brilliance" and "shine like 30 coats of lacquer." The formula has a mint scent but not much flavor from what I could detect. While the brand's general description is "maximum color," they seem to modify that with individual shade descriptions as several shades are specifically described as "opaque" and a few are noted as "sheer" with the remainder having no specific coverage descriptor (as of April/May 2020).
This seems to suggest that the rest are neither sheer nor opaque but somewhere in-between--I would lean toward "semi-opaque" to be closer to "maximum color," though I really think that's quite confusing to the customer. It would make more sense to simply describe it as a range of sheer to opaque shades or that they're medium coverage (as a whole).
The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to opaque with a fair amount of shades between medium and semi-opaque payoff in a single layer, and they do have a very high-shine finish that makes my lips look more voluminous.
The consistency was smooth, like a creamy gel as it was a bit thicker (without being heavy or tacky), and very easy to spread across my lips. It was comfortable to wear and moisturizing over time. Some shades smoothed out my lip lines, though it wasn't consistent throughout the range as a few settled into them (usually paler, milkier shades).

PPermanent. $29.00.
Cherry Moon (352)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Cherry Moon (352) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly and smoothly across my lips. The gloss didn’t emphasize my lip lines as much as it could have, but it wasn’t as smoothing or as forgiving as other shades in the range.
The texture was lightweight, medium in thickness with slight tackiness, and was spreadable. It stayed on nicely for five hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Way back in my heavy blonde hi-lights, bronzed skin days of yore, Cherry Moon would have looked BOMB. Not now, it wouldn’t. Oh well.
Supa Dupa Fly is so disappointing. Definitely not “fly” in any sense of the word!
Supa Dupa Fly is a really pretty shade. Too bad about the stickiness and the poor application. Cherry Moon is likely too light for me but the title gives me Prince vibes!!
What a pity for Supa Dupa Fly… that colour is gorgeous but nobody likes sticky lip gloss 🙁
I like the Supa Dupa Fly shade, but not the problems associated with its application.
