Unforgettable Autumn | Lip Colors to Wear
I couldn’t leave you without some inspiration for fall lip colors — so many to choose from! While I’ll absolutely wear any color or finish during the year, autumn makes me think of richer colors, whether they are brighter (but saturated) or deeper, vampier. I’ve created three collections of shades: creamier, more matte to satin copper-hued lipsticks, plum-hued lipsticks, and shimmery lipsticks across color families.

I sure do wish our weather would start feeling more like fall soon! Looking forward to putting all my richer, vampier tubes of lipstick back into rotation probably in late October/early November. Funny, each autumn, I always tell myself that this will be the year that I buy MAC Chili, but so far, no dice! ?

We have excessive heat warning also in Las Vegas but the Rustic Glitz section is lovely!
MAC Chili is on my to-buy list as well. It’s been there for a longish time now. So many new lipsticks, so many LE that the poor darling keeps getting pushed back in my mind.

Christine, what a lovely idea! I’m excited to bust out Glowing Jen myself (if I can figure out how to replace it with the JK Magic bullet, I bought the refill) and to also have the chance to wear Dose of Colors Aftermath again, which is such a fun pumpkin/brown color.
Good luck putting in the refill!! Hopefully it isn’t too difficult!

Great lists. It’s weird to me that I not only have none of these, I don’t have anything like them (ANY of them, that I can see). Beautiful Creature (which I have) is listed as a dupe for Unfaithful, but to my eye, it’s not. TBH, there’s a reason I don’t have them (or anything like them): none of them jump out at me grab my heart.
The closest I get to more than mildly interested is for the last five in the Rustic category, and Apollo is the standout of those. The one I REALLY want is the “dupe” I see for Apollo called “Cherry Pearl” — it’s an LE lip gloss from Bite. Now there’s a color that makes my heart flutter! And it had no real dupes!!! ?
At least you recognize why you don’t have ’em – sometimes knowing what doesn’t appeal to you is just as good as knowing what does interest you!

No surprise I actually own a majority of the options listed here for “Copper in Cream.” Whoops!
Pepper by Bite Beauty (in regular lipstick) is my fall “red”, and the new Dior Addict Stellar in Celestial is my fun (plum), and the YSL oil-in-stick volupte shine in 90 plum is my daily.
I’d love to see a post on lipsticks that have a sheen on them—like some of the new Sillage lipsticks are a full pink pigment but there’s a golden sheen (not metallic) over a few. Lipsticks that are wearable in the office because they’re not too intense metallic, but have a pretty sheen
I love fall makeup! I’m surprised I have nothing from the plum list, since that’s the shade range I like the most in this post. Bobbi Brown Plum Rose and Marc Jacobs Kate stand out, but I have multiple dupes for both of them.

While I personally am not ready for fall/winter yet, I do love me a dark, vampy fall lipstick. I admit to wearing them year around here in Montana. I love so many of these and have a fair amount. I always go for the plum/red shade range but surprisingly I have a few from the other ranges as well. Surprisingly, to me anyway, I own MAC Chili but I find it difficult to pull off. I have to say it pulls pretty brown on me but I do still like it and try to wear it at least a few times a year.
