ColourPop Cheetah, Sitting Pretty, 27 Lux Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches
Cheetah
ColourPop Cheetah Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark lavender with soft, wamr undertones and a cream finish. It had excellent pigmentation with a lightly creamy, smooth consistency that skated across the lips with ease and applied well along the edges. There was a bit of product that settled into my lip lines, and this worsened slightly over time (not terrible but noticeable to my eye). It was really comfortable to wear for two and a half hours, and then it started to wear down to a more matte finish and the thinner texture was more apparent, though just shy of being clingy and the formula itself felt non-drying over the four hours this shade lasted for.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.12 oz. - $83.33 Per Ounce
The formula that is supposed to be a "creamy-matte" that "glides on like butter, doesn't feather or bleed, and lasts so long you'll forget you're even wearing it." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke with a few in the more semi-opaque coverage range.
The texture was, on average, smooth, lightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin, so there was no tugging during application but the color didn't feel slippery while worn, which made them easier to apply straight from the tube and low-maintenance on the lips.
They tend to dry and wear down to a soft matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they are very lightweight on, they hug the lips more as they become more matte (compared to initial feel). The wear time has been between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They were vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste.

Sitting Pretty
ColourPop Sitting Pretty Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark berry with subtle, cool undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. The lipstick was lightly creamy where it glided nicely along my lips but didn’t feel overly slippery while worn. The texture did seem more prone to wearing to a very matte finish faster than other shades with a similar creaminess (at least, in my experience), so it didn’t feel as comfortable after a few hours of wear as it did initially. It wore well for six hours, left a slight stain behind, and was non-drying.

27
ColourPop 27 Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep, reddish-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly in a single stroke and glided across my lips without tugging. The consistency was lightly creamy, smooth, though it definitely wore down to a more matte finish within a couple of hours (seemed faster than average with this type of finish) and felt a touch clingy. The color stayed on well for five hours on me and was non-drying.

Wow, I do not have a handful of dupes for sitting pretty. That’s exciting!
27 is so beautiful, but I am trying very hard to convince myself that I have five (!!) of the dupes and don’t need it.
Aaaand I caved, and bought 27 and Pinkies Up (a LE color).
27 looks gorgeous! Very rich cocoa-plum that I sadly have a few listed dupes for. Although, I do see it being different enough from MAC Del Rio, VG III, and Chanel Rouge Vie to get. I think??
Cheetah is nice, but I sure do prefer UD Cruz for the finish.
Sitting Pretty is beautiful, but it has something about it that has me thinking that I must own *something* similar…. laying around here somewhere. And yet, I saw no listed dupes! (That’ll have me going all day!)
I really like the color of 27 and I’m surprised it doesn’t have a dead-on dupe. It’s a good balance of plum, red, and brown without being too much of any. Looks great on you!
Completely off topic but on topic, the press Colourpop uses on those lipsticks is so satisfying to look at. I do love lipstick imprints, I don’t know why, but those little stars. <3
I'm definitely going to pick up a few shades, and I thought I was over Colourpop!
Do they smell like their original lippie stix? That sweet smell?
Yes – please make sure to click “Formula Overview,” which will go over a summary of the formula including things that are present in every shade like scent, taste, etc. 🙂
27 is a gorgeous shade!
I was going to buy 27, but I already have Infuse from Bite, so I guess I can resist this one!
Sitting Pretty and 27 are both kind of amazing, and I don’t think I have proper dupes for either (and 27 is my birthday day!), but I’m on a lipstick low-to-no buy and I ordered from CP right before these were released, so … 🙁
I’m loving Sitting Pretty. I don’t have any of the listed dupes, eixcept Have Your Cake, which isn’t that similar.
I want this but I just ordered ABH Rum Punch and I belive they’re very similar. I’m going to check!!! I still might order this!! I need to wait we have an Ulta opening in a few weeks, I’m so terrible!!
These are quite nice. If I wasn’t on a low buy/no buy I’d be ready for Sitting Pretty!
