Bite Beauty Sugar Flower & Rose Glace Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon Reviews & Swatches
Sugar Flower
Bite Beauty Sugar Flower Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with warm undertones and flecks of purple and gold pearl and larger sparkle. It had nearly opaque color coverage with a smooth, velvety consistency that made it easy to glide across and maneuver along the edges of my lips for even application. This was one of the more interesting shades in the range, as the mix of shimmer (gold and purple, mostly) made it harder to dupe in a single product. It wore well for five hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.06 oz. - $400.00 Per Ounce
The new formula is supposed to offer shimmer and bold color that's "long-wearing" and "smooth-gliding." The majority of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation in one stroke. The texture is typically smooth and velvety without feeling wet or particularly cream-like, but they don't drag as I used them for all-over color. They have more of a semi-matte to matte finish in terms of shine, but obviously they have quite a bit of shimmer ranging from fine shimmer to shimmer with slight to moderate sparkle. They did manage to keep everything feeling quite smooth, as I didn't notice the shimmer when I pressed my lips together. The formula was comfortable to wear and lasted between four and six hours on me. They had a slight, lemony scent with a very subtle, almost sweet taste (but I barely detected the taste).
They are inspired by the brand's Matte Creme Lip Crayons, which are creamy, highly-pigmented larger pencils that have more of a satin to semi-matte finish. In comparison, the Shimmer Lip Crayons have a similar glide and comfort going on my lips, but they have less creaminess and no satin sheen. They don't feel quite as hydrating as the Matte Creme Lip Crayons, and thus far, the Shimmer finish tends to wear slightly shorter in time.

Rose Glace
Bite Beauty Rose Glace Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It yielded nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was easy to maneuver across my lips and along the edges of my lips as well. The texture was more velvety–it glided on nicely but didn’t feel overly wet or creamy–and thin without feeling clingy. It wore well for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

I love both of these. It looks like this new formula is going to be a winner!
Who cares that I have a couple of hundred lipsticks, Sugar Flower is coming home to me!! I loved the Ciate Colour Flip in Infamous but hated how it felt on my lips and really didn’t like the big chunks of glitter it left on my lips. A finer glitter okay but not big chunks. I decluttered it some time ago. This is even prettier and it is a Temptalia Recommends, what more could I ask for!!
Hi Christine,
Do you know if these are available yet or are they perhaps sold out? I looked on Bite’s website and Sephora and can’t find them. Thank you.
They launch 12/25 online at Bite and 12/26 at Sephora!
Thank you, I was beginning to get that FOMO feeling!!
Pretty, and in my favorite form (pencil), but don’t need them.
Great eye look by the way — the Rose Glace complements it perfectly!
Thank you! 🙂
These seem to wear a lot nicer than I was expecting! Good job, Bite.
Wow..They look great especially Sugar Flower, but do these feel gritty on the lips, Christine?
If you read the “Formula Overview,” I mentioned that they felt smooth when I pressed my lips together!
“They did manage to keep everything feeling quite smooth, as I didn’t notice the shimmer when I pressed my lips together.”
Thank you very much Christine. Yes, I read your formula overview and noticed that you mentioned the smoothness of the formula. That was why it surprised me, they can made it so smooth without feeling any gritty when the application showed load of shimmering /sparking of glitters. I am definitely grabbed sugar flower for sure once it hits Sephora 🙂
No problem! 🙂
Glad you asked, I was about to! Never thought to look uner Formula Overview. These seem promising!
Formula overview will give a summary of the formula at a high-level, and then if there are any particular deviations with a shade, those will go in the shade review. The formula overview allows me to give a summary of general performance without having to reiterate claims on every single review!
Pity these didn’t come out earlier — perfect for holiday parties and activities. I like both of these, can’t wait to check them out.
Sugar Flower is delightfully yummy looking! I do have UD Outspoken, yet still would love to have this one, too. Probably redundant, though.
Rose Glacé isn’t shabby, either! I could see having it as a more interesting type of pinkish nude.
Both of these are beautiful, especially Sugar Flower. That one’s going on the “to get” list.
Wow – what stunning shades, especially Sugar Flower. These shades aren’t my colours, but I think these are so very pretty.
