Lust Angeles

Pat McGrath Lust Angeles LuxeTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a soft, medium beige with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. I found this shade to be exceptionally hard to photograph–it always looked warmer in photos than in person. It had rich pigmentation that covered the lips with even, smooth coverage that stayed in place well. The consistency was smooth, velvety, and thicker without being heavy. The color wore well for almost seven hours and was lightly moisturizing.

Formula Overview

$40.00/0.14 oz. - $285.71 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a "intense color payoff" with "comfort" and "rich hydration" that has a "satiny sheen." Of the shades I've tried, they are richly pigmented, long-wearing, incredibly comfortable to wear from start to finish, hydrating, and generally flattering on the lips. The texture was smooth, velvety, and creamy enough to glide across the lips with ease but never felt slippery or too clingy. Most shades performed exceptionally well, and while pricey, they at least lived up to a lot of the claims. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Unfaithful

Pat McGrath Unfaithful LuxeTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium plum with warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was fantastic–completely opaque in a single pass–and applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. The lipstick had a lightweight feel when worn, but the consistency itself was a bit thicker, which seemed to help smooth out my lip lines overall. It lasted for seven hours and was hydrating while worn.

I absolutely love Unfaithful – I think it’s my favourite shade in the LuxeTrance collection, with Apricult as my favourite bright and She’s Heaven as my favourite brown nude. I basically have loved just about everything, including Lust Angeles which I was convinced would look dreadful on me and La Beija (ochre peach doesn’t suit me and I was worried it would turn out that way!)

I’m eagerly awaiting your best picks of the year….wondering If LuxeTrance edged it’s way onto it!

I’ve been buying so many of these that I didn’t notice till recently that each lipstick is 4g of product – really good deal compared to Tom Ford, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, etc!

Both shades look gorgeous on you Christine! Hope you’re having a great Christmas!

How would you compare the texture of Pat McGrath lipsticks with Nars Audacious and Bobbi Brown Luxe, especially as to creaminess and feeling moist as it wears? I have the PM in Obsessed 211 but it’s a matte, and it’s drier than I had hoped.

They grip the lip more – not in a bad way, but they are much, much longer wearing (they are very comfy on me, though, and I routinely forget I’m wearing anything!). The LuxeTrance have more slip than the MatteTrances, but they aren’t wildly different overall (they’re more similar than different – hopefully that makes sense…).

Both are just beautiful! Although I knew immediately that Unfaithful looked just like Del Rio, I still love it, but just won’t be getting it. Lust Angeles is an instant top 5 favorite for me out of the line. But, again, I have UD Abstract. This may be different enough that perhaps down the road, I would buy it.

Unfaithful just went on my list. Another plum — yea! I have Beautiful Creature, but Unfaithful has that subdued (in my mind “true” plum) effect that’s so attractive in colors like this. Perfect!

How does Unfaithful compare with Sorry Not Sorry? I have very fair neutral-leaning-yellow toned skin and I wonder if they will be too similar on me to justify another purchase! I already have Sorry Not Sorry, Major Red, and Realness and that’s wayyy more on lipstick I normally spend. Love this line!

These shades are so pretty.I wanted her vault of these lipsticks but even with the 15% off discount the 17 shade set was still almost $500 dollars. With all the lipsticks I have I just couldn’t justify spending that much on more no matter how much I want them.
