ColourPop Who Run This & Ziggie Lippie Stix Reviews & Swatches
Who Run This
ColourPop Who Run This Matte X Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a medium, reddish-copper with subtle, warm red undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had a velvety consistency that glided across my lips with ease but didn’t have any shine, despite having a very creamy feel. It was also lightweight, thin without being clingy, and comfortable to wear, though it did seem to separate along my deeper lip lines a bit (not enough to be noticeable in person). The color applied with opaque coverage in a single pass. It wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.0352 oz. - $170.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full-coverage" with a "super matte" finish that has a "lightweight and velvety feel." I'd agree with all of those things--most shades were opaque while a few were more semi-opaque to mostly opaque. The texture has a silicone-heavy feel to it, so it has the velvety slip that used to be more typical of face primers than lip products, but this silicone-heavy type of formula has made its way into lip products to give a more matte finish with a smoother, more velvety consistency. The consistency feels a bit denser, though it remains lightweight, and usually delivers even coverage in a single stroke that doesn't tug. The formula wears anywhere from four to eight hours on me, and it is typically neither drying nor hydrating. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Ziggie
ColourPop Ziggie Matte X Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with moderate, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. The Matte X formula has more velvety, silicone-heavy feel (like think of the drier slip of a silicone-based primer), which made the shade easy and comfortable to apply without adding a lot of shine or glossiness. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer that adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips. There was slight separation along my deeper lip lines (on my lower lip), but it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. This shade stayed on nicely for six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Because my son’s kitty he had for 12 years was named Ziggy, (just a little alteration in spelling!) and the shade looks gorgeous, I would so rock Ziggie in autumn and winter!
I love the Matte X formula so much. I am just bummed my favorite shade “Lullaby” is only available in the New Theory kit and not a standalone.
Both these lippie stix are glorious shades, but they are also dupes for Foolish, which is the creamy Lux lipstick alternative.
Thanks for the description of Matte X. I love both of these, so of course, duped to death. They have some phenomenal chemists on the CP team. These sound very comfortable, with good weartime.
No problem! They’re more comfortable than traditional matte lipsticks / liquid lipsticks for sure – not transfer-proof but pigmented enough that there’s plenty there to last and last!
Ziggie’s one of my favourites of their lippie stix – I just wish that the one i’d ordered wasn’t falling apart as soon as i opened it! (the entire bullet fell out of the stick and it’s very…crumbly.)
