ColourPop Electric Slide Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “true gold.” It’s a light-medium, yellow gold with a pearly shimmer-sheen finish–pretty much just as the brand described it. The texture was smooth, creamy, and a cinch to blend out on the skin. I love that the formula can be used over foundation without disturbing your base products. ColourPop Leopard Super Shock Pressed Pigment ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “vivid violet blue.” It’s a meidum-dark purple with cool, blue undertones and a satin-matte finish. It had semi-opaque coverage, and it was blendable along the edges, but the texture was dry and prone to crumbling when I applied too much pressure on it. ColourPop Fauncy Creme Gel Colour Set ($33.00 for 0.36 oz.) includes three eyeliner pencils and three gel eyeliners (in pots); all six shades are limited edition. This was a bit of a mixed bag; none of these were super pigmented in one stroke, with some that layered better than others. They are more unique in color, though, particularly Frill and Soiree.

Frill (Creme Gel Liner) is described as a “soft icy lavender.” It’s a muted, light-medium lavender with cool undertones and faint shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in one stroke, which was buildable to opaque coverage in two layers. The consistency was creamy enough to glide without tugging, but it didn’t migrate, and it’s not what I’d call smudgeable (which is often great news for longevity, but some may prefer a more smudging formula). Soiree (Creme Gel Colour) is described as a “deep gunmetal with gold and silver.” It’s a smoky, blackened teal with green tones and slight gold sparkle. It is brighter and lighter compared to the eyeliner, as the shimmer seems more prominent (and larger in particle size) in the pot version. The texture was very lightly creamy–wish it had a little more slip–and fairly pigmented. The color wore for close to nine hours, but I had some sparkle that traveled. Bustier (Creme Gel Colour) is described as a “deep blackened olive.” It’s a blackened brown with hints of murky olive in its base paired with a semi-matte finish. It was darker and had more depth than the pencil form, though they are similar in color. The texture is lightly creamy and applies fairly evenly in a single stroke. Polar (Creme Gel Colour) is described as a “true black with multi-coloured glitter.” It’s a plum-tinged black with large silver, green, and violet glitter. The texture of this seemed dry to me; it was noticeably less creamy compared to the majority of the shades I’ve tried in the formula. I felt like this made for eyeliner that applied in dragged lines, where the edges were splayed and the color was uneven. The underlying black base lasted for nine hours, but there was fall out and migration from the some of the sparkle. With some sort of mixing medium, this might be workable, but just as-is, the dryness made it problematic. Bobbi Brown Twilight Night (P, $23.00) is lighter (90% similar).
