ColourPop Boogie Lippie Stix
ColourPop Boogie Lippie Stix

ColourPop Boogie Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.038 oz.) is described as a “vibrant violet red with turquoise glitter.” It’s a medium-dark, berry purple with cool, blue undertones and subtle sparkle over a semi-matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff that applied evenly. The texture had a slight grit to it from the sparkle, but it didn’t drag when applied. It lasted for over six hours, but it was somewhat drying. ColourPop Plastics (LE, $7.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Marfa (LE, $18.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). NARS Valparaiso (P, $28.00) is warmer (85% similar). MAC Acai (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (80% similar). Sephora Sagittarius (97) (LE, $8.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). MAC Starstruck (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Control (LE, $56.00) is more shimmery, darker (80% similar). ColourPop Peppermint Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.038 oz.) is described as a “warm peachy nude.” It’s a medium, peachy orange with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had rich, opaque pigmentation that applied evenly with a lightly creamy consistency that didn’t drag and was comfortable to wear. The color lasted for four and a half hours, and the formula was neither drying nor hydrating while worn.
MAC Oxblood (LE, $19.00) is lighter (95% similar). Makeup Geek Beach Bunny (P, $12.00) is darker, less glossy (95% similar). MAC Frolic (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NARS Torres del Paine (LE, $25.00) is lighter (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Bare Peach (23) (P, $57.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Back in Vogue (P, $21.00) is lighter, less glossy (85% similar). MAC Kinda Sexy (P, $19.00) is warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Kinky (P, $18.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Hourglass When I Was (P, $34.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Silk Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.038 oz.) is described as a “rich deepened burgundy.” It’s a medium-dark, muted red with a hint of cooler, pink tones and a semi-matte finish. It reminded me of a poinsettia. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, but it didn’t entirely cover my lip freckle, so some of the natural lip color will come through (mine is lighter, so it doesn’t alter the lipstick color much, if at all). It had a lightly creamy texture that applied without tugging. The color was still going strong after six hours of wear, but it was mildly drying. Makeup Geek Boss Lady (P, $12.00) is lighter, cooler (95% similar). MAC Perfect Score (LE, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Studded Kiss (P, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). Maybelline Divine Wine (P, $7.99) is warmer (95% similar). Coloured Raine Cherry Blossom (P, $17.00) is lighter (90% similar). NARS 413 BLKR (DC, $28.00) is warmer (90% similar). Bite Beauty #080 (P, $18.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Velvet Cherry (08) (P, $55.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Just a Bite (LE, $19.00) is lighter, glossier (90% similar). Tarte Miami Vice (P, $21.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). MAC Rocker (P, $19.00) is darker (90% similar). Guerlain #94 (P, $33.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Dior Splendor (950) (LE, $38.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Wig (LE, $7.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop TGIF (LE, $7.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Hearts Aflame (LE, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). As soon as I saw online swatches of Boogie Nights last week, I ordered it along with a backup. I got it last Friday and it’s gorgeous!! I always put SFP 15 lipbalm on top, so a little dryness is no problem, I prefer it that way, so it doesn’t slide off. I was also eyeing Silk, but glad I passed, as I already have 5 of the dupes (Divine Wine, Burgundy Blush, CP Poison, MAC Hearts Aflame) –guess I like this color!

Colourpop is trying to kill me with all these new releases. I so want Boogie Nights and Silk and now I just got an email about new Ultra Matte colors 😡

OMG, you MUST get Boogie!! I’m wearing it right now, and it’s the most gorgeous berry purple with the tiniest teal glitter that sparkles when it catches the light. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve even grabbed a backup. It is a drier lipstick, but nothing a little lip balm can’t fix. And if you add BITE Opal on top, you get a duo chrome shift. I’m also planning to put a Sephora Holographic Lip Gloss on top for a total OTT look 🙂

Yeah! I love them all and they all arrived yestersay! Funny how that worked. If only everything in life did the same.:) I do wish CP would make lip liners for these though. I like their liners and at $5, its nice to know you have a match.
The eye look- FIERCE!

Boogie looks so unique! At first I thought it would look like Mac’s Rebel, but it seems to be more purpley and sparkly, so I’m probably getting it with a bunch of eyeshadows from the Holiday Collection. I’m still debating about Silk though: it looks beautiful but it’s so dupable…

Zovesta Avatar

I love your makeup, especially with Silk. You look Holiday perfect for sure, like you should be in a commercial. =) Thanks so much for reviewing these so quickly!

Hey Christine, Just wanted to let you know that Boogie is almost the same exact color of their other Lippie Stick LBB…I actually have LBB and when I got Boogie..I was worried I wouldn’t have a lip liner to match. But, I swatched them both side by side and they’re just about identical. So heads up ladies, if you love Boogie and you’re worried you won’t have backup’s of it…LBB is in their permanent range and almost an identical match…Hope this helps for future reference!!! 😉 XO
