Editor's Review

Goldmine is a light-medium gold with warmer undertones and a metallic sheen with some larger, chunkier sparkle. The sparkly bits tended to pull away from the base, so they ended up falling out during application or later on during wear. The consistency had a denser, chunkier feel to it, and I found a flatter, synthetic brush seemed to apply the eyeshadow best. It wore well for seven hours on me before fading. Urban Decay Dothraki (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop MVP (LE, $4.50) is warmer (95% similar). ColourPop Beauty and the Beast (LE, $6.00) is warmer (95% similar). The new line of shadows features a completely revamped assortment of shades, new textures, and a totally redesigned token compact. The secret to the new formula is Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, a vehicle for color that holds tightly to pigment and gives the formula its glide. Just wanted to point out that the quality of the shadow is very different depending on which palette you get. The one in the Vice Ltd reloaded is actually really nice, creamy and pigmented whereas the one in the Full Spectrum palette is a pale mess that's pratically nothing but fallout. I'd be curious to know if anyone else noticed that too?
