Best & Worst Pat McGrath LUST Lip Glosses | 2020

Pat McGrath LUST Lip Glosses (Spring 2019)
Pat McGrath LUST Lip Glosses (Spring 2019)

Here’s a look at all of the available shades in the Pat McGrath LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 fl. oz.) range.

The formula is supposed to have “multidimensional shine” with a “non-sticky texture” that “nourishes” with “exceptional adherence.” The opacity ranges from “opaque to transparent,” and most shades were as pigmented as they were intended (I was able to get a list of coverage-levels but wish this information was clearer to consumers!). T

he consistency has a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn’t tacky and was comfortable to wear. For the most part, they didn’t seem to sink into my lip lines, which can be a pitfall of gloss, though some of the milkier, paler shades had very slight settling. I didn’t find the wear time to be better than average–three to four hours–but the formula was moderately hydrating. There was a subtle vanilla scent but no discernible taste when worn.

Exactly. I got the Flesh 6 and a moon flower plus one of the minis and feel set. Definitely will replace though when I run out. I can finally use my matte lipsticks because these are great toppers. I know that defeats the purpose but being close to 50, matte lipstick texture isn’t very flattering on me.

I got them all and the glittery ones, eg astrals, are my favorite. They spruce up any lipstick and they’re stunning to look at. My only gripe is that I wish they would last longer. But then again, I talk and eat too much so that’s probably my own shortcoming and not the gloss. The old YSL is my absolute favorite formula and it beats out the PMG glosses as a product but not by packaging, by a narrow formula. But they have been discontinued so this is my new go-to.
Thank you for trying all of these!!

I have Astral Flashdance and love it and now want Carnal Desire and Secret Lover… Thank you for reviewing all of these! I just love how they feel on the lips, and I can’t easily apply too much like the Fenty ones (though I love those, too).

Astral Moon Flower is so pretty. I remember it was used in your “Garden of Opalina” post, and I still have that look in my head. For some reason I am obsessed with those colors, esp Astral Moon Flower over the purple lipstick. Thank you for all you do Christine!
