Pat McGrath LUST Lip Glosses (Spring 2019)
For spring, there are 18 new shades in the Pat McGrath LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 fl. oz.), which I’ve just finished reviewing and have ranked here. The formula is supposed to have “multidimensional shine” with a “non-sticky texture” that “nourishes” with “exceptional adherence.” The opacity ranges from “opaque to transparent,” and most shades were as pigmented as they were intended (I was able to get a list of coverage-levels but wish this information was clearer to consumers!). The consistency has a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn’t tacky and was comfortable to wear. For the most part, they didn’t seem to sink into my lip lines, which can be a pitfall of gloss, though some of the milkier, paler shades had very slight settling. I didn’t find the wear time to be better than average–three to four hours–but the formula was moderately hydrating. There was a subtle vanilla scent but no discernible taste when worn.
