Pat McGrath Earth Angel, Faux Real, Flesh 6 LUST Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Earth Angel
Pat McGrath Earth Angel LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) has a soft, yellowed peach translucent base with gold and pink sparkle. It had sheer coverage (as intended) with a more “medium” level amount of shimmer/sparkle paired with a high-shine finish. The consistency was smooth, plush, and non-sticky, and while it had a “thicker” feel, it wasn’t heavy, and it kept the texture of the sparkle from being noticeable. It wore well for three and a half hours and was hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$30.00/0.15 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "multidimensional shine" with a "non-sticky texture" that "nourishes" with "exceptional adherence." The opacity ranges from "opaque to transparent." The color coverage really does vary quite a bit, but most of the shades I've tried are sheer to medium in coverage--the brand could be clearer on which shades are opaque.
The consistency has a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn't tacky and was comfortable to wear. For the most part, they didn't seem to sink into my lip lines, which can be a pitfall of gloss. I didn't find the wear time to be better than average--three to four hours--but the formula was moderately hydrating. There was a subtle vanilla scent but no discernible taste when worn.

Faux Real
Pat McGrath Faux Real LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, peachy-brown with a cream finish and faint white pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation (and described as “medium”) with a smooth, creamy consistency that was plush without being heavy or sticky. The gloss went on better than a good number of variations on this hue I’ve tried, but it wasn’t immune from getting into my deeper lip lines, though the shininess of the finish helped that look less noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It was comfortable and moisturizing to wear over the four hours it lasted for.

Flesh 6
Pat McGrath Flesh 6 LUST Lip Gloss ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a jelly-like finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation (and supposed to have “full coverage”), which was buildable to full coverage with two layers, though the gloss has such a smooth, creamy consistency that two layers tends to start feeling like I’ve over-applied. The color went on fairly evenly and while it didn’t highlight my lip lines, there was a touch of product that sat in them in the close-up photo (but harder to see in person). This shade stayed on well for four and a half hours and was hydrating.

If I didn’t already have Aliengelic, I would have to get Earth Angel! Because, while arm swatches look decidedly different, they sure do look quite close in tone and appearance on the lip application. But, I sure do love them both.
And then there’s the more unique Flesh 6. Which is seriously blowing up my skirt!
Watch out, Marilyn! Hope the CC went well.
Flesh 6 is the only one I’m thinking of maybe buying. I do love sheer, glossy, pearly and shimmery glosses.
The only thing holding me back is the extras, postage and tax and fun fee to the local post making the cost about twice as much.
Good to hear you’re enjoying PmG makeup. I really love what I have and hope to buy some more later this year. I’m on a very low.buy at the moment.
Flesh 6 is a beautiful color, and I really like the jelly finish. Very pretty!
I love Flesh 6. I got one of the mini samplers and fell in love with the formula. I have lip gloss everywhere in my house. When girlfriends come over, they go for what they call my little goodie boxes. I love to collect cute and unique boxes…the cigar shop by my movie theatre sells gorgeous wood cigar boxes for a buck to add to my collection. I use essential oils and my TF black orchid which I hate on me but use for things like this.
