MAC Postmodernist Peach Extra Dimension Skinfinish Review & Swatches
Postmodernist Peach
MAC Postmodernist Peach Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($37.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a light, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and a smooth, luminous sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, though the firmer (not stiff) texture made it easier to pick up less product by using less pressure or a more feathery brush.
The consistency was smooth to the touch and worked best with a moderately dense brush for even pickup of product. The powder applied evenly to bare skin and blended out easily, which resulted in a more “melted” glow that looked seamless over my skin without emphasizing its natural texture. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

The Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula is supposed to give “the perfect glow to the skin” with a “creamy powder formula” that wears for “10 hours.” It’s a powder highlighter that I’d describe as a moderate to intense highlighter, and they come in varying hues with some that might work as highlighting blushes/bronzers are on some skin tones and true highlighters on other skin tones. In general, the formula is very pigmented, blendable, and wears around eight to nine hours on me.

I’m a sucker for melted looking highlighters, and this one is no exception. But I have ABH x Amrezy, so I will restrain my urge to buy this. Here’s hoping I have at least one good dupe for the other one, as well.
That is really pretty and a lovely soft finish too. The embossing on the pan is beautiful.
What a gorgeous-looking product. From your description it sounds like you can sheer our this highlighter into a finishing powder, is that right? Not familiar with this formula..
You might be able to make it work, but I don’t think it lends itself well to that purpose!
Christine: I went on Saks, MAC, and ULTA sites and none have the MAC Postmodernist Peach Extra Dimension listed. Is it not available yet? Pls advise.
Thank you.
I’m seeing it listed on MAC, Saks, and Ulta…
I’m eager to see the “less warm” one from this collection. I have UD Sin so I’m good for a dupe for this but I hope the other one is as good.
This is really beautiful — I love the color, texture, packaging, and embossing. My pressed powder highlighter just broke so I’m on the lookout for a nice powder highlighter.
Yes! Thank you. I am on a hunt for melted looking highlighter. I only have Fenty hu$tla baby mini (it was a gift); and found it too glittery.
I am such a sucker for highlighters. I actually just got to see this one in person tonight and it is BEYOND gorgeous. I restrained myself, though, and did NOT buy it b/c I have an INSANE amount of highlighters already. I might go back, though. LOL 🙂
This looks pretty!
