What were your favorites from the last month?
I absolutely, unequivocally adore Estée Lauder Knockout Nude lipstick! I also love ColourPop Smoke Show Palette.
What didn’t impress you?
ColourPop Lip Tint Crayons. I gave the ones I bought to a friend who loves them. Also not impressed with ColourPop Floating Lights Blush and Big Tough Girl Highlighter, but I haven’t given up on them yet. I’m going to try different applications to see if I can get them to work better. I really want them to work because I adore the packaging!

No, but I gave some away.

Yes, I successfully resisted the Marc Jacobs Steeletto Palette…again!
What were your favorites from the last month? Embryolisse cream, Youth to the People Maqui oil, MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and 2 Dior eyeshadow 5-pans – my new Celebrate in Gold one and the breathlessness inducing Bonne Etoile from years back; both are perfect for this time of year
What didn’t impress you? can’t really think of anything
Did you return anything you purchase? nope
Or successfully resist temptation? amazingly, I’m not really tempted by much, in spite of all the holiday releases AND the VIB sale – the only thing tempting the pants off me now is that Chanel quad. I do need to stock up on some gift items for my trainer, my daughter and my son’s girlfriend, all of whom love lipglosses, Philosophy shower gel stuff – all the goodies that really appeal to younger women.

? What didn’t impress you? Huda Retrograde, all of the Norvina pigment palettes

? Or successfully resist temptation? Numerous. I resisted all palettes except PMG holiday quads, CP Smoke Show. I resisted all lipsticks except YSL Arlene’s nude. I resisted more foundations; specifically ABH Luminous.
?♀️ Pretty gutted about missing PMG Divine Rose.
What were your favorites from the last month? ND Mini Gold palette, Kaja Rosewater Eyeshadow Stack, Colourpop So Jaded palette, Huda Obsessions Rich Nude palette, Bite Beauty Lipsticks.
What didn’t impress you? The Sigma Beauty Enchanted palette. The shimmers are pretty (and I’ve yet to try it with a glitter glue), but I was overall underwhelmed with the palette once I got it in my hands. I just didn’t know what to do with it. I need to play with it more.
Did you return anything you purchase? I didn’t. I tried to return the Sigma palette, but the site I purchased it from doesn’t accept cosmetic returns,
Or successfully resist temptation? I’ve resisted all of the holiday releases! Part of me does want the ND Metropolis palette, but I’m hoping to get it for Christmas 🙂
I forgot to mention that I successfully resisted the temptation to get CP So Jaded…so far, that is. I don’t need it, yet I really want it.
It’s a cool palette! If you did end up purchasing it, I think you’d like it a lot!
What were your favorites from the last month? Too many things! The Chanel and Tom Ford holiday collections both spoke to my tastes, and I think the quality is fantastic looking overall for both. Fenty did a great job with this year’s smaller holiday collection! And then there’s the lipstick I tried on the other night and fell in love with how it looked and felt: YSL Scout’s Red!
Oh! And Marc Jacobs Elect-trick Palette, Jet Girl highlighter, and 2 of the glosses, too!
What didn’t impress you? ColourPop. I’m so sick and tired of their high speed cranking out of new stuff. Plus, their insistence on putting pressed glitters in almost every single e/s palette has gotten on my last nerve! So has ABH Norvina, but only for the ridiculous out-churning of palette’s with the most awkward looking layouts I’ve ever seen. I’m only loving that Vol. 2 Mini out of all of them.

Or successfully resist temptation? I’m working on it. And happy to report that I’ve been making my purchasing decisions more mindfully. Yet, when something just clicks perfectly on me, I’m willing to go with it and buy it. So far I’ve been resisting most of the new-new in favor of long planned for items instead, ie; PMG Subversive Mothership III Palette and necessary skincare.
My favorites for the month are the Hourglass Ghost blush palette (because it is so freaking good), Glossier Boy Brow (late to the game on this one!), and Missha BB cream (falling in love with this again after many years.)
My one big disappointment is the Glossier Play eyeliner in the mustardy color. The tip broke off as soon as I tried to put it on, and it feels very stiff. I need to email the brand to see if this is a bad batch or what.
My faves from this month – Mac shimmy peach palette, cover fx’s monochromatic soft peach duo , Dior’s lip flower oil ( wow I love last one )
Oh also Lancôme’s concealer is amazing, I don’t know if they changed or improved formula but it is so so good.
What didn’t impress me – I retried Marc Jacobs Dew you , I wanted to love it , but it just isn’t my thing . I gave and Colourpop’s blue moon to one of my girlfriends. The Colourpop palette is pretty, blues just don’t work with my fire engine red hair and hazel eyes
Did I return anything- not yet but I have an extra Dior holo pink , still in box , I have my original one still so since Nordstrom’s return policy is forever , I think I’m sending that back ,
Have I resisted anything- no I don’t think so, I was debating the Chanel metal peach, except I watched it sell out so quickly on Nordstrom, when it appeared again I had to snag . It literally sold out again in about 3 minutes so I hope it’s worth it
What were your favourites from the last month?
I liked the CP Smoke Show palette, the Dior quint Celebrate in Gold and the Mona lipstick – none of which I have purchased.
For me, I have enjoyed revisiting Vice 2, bareMinerals The Playlist, Flower Beauty’s Natural Golden palette and my CP lipsticks in Tea Thyme, LA Lady and Foolish.
I also liked the L’Oreal’s Chrome metal singles in Rose Gold and Bronze.
What didn’t impress you?
All the CP palette releases featuring the eye glitter, the Norvina palettes (big and small).
For me, I have liked everything I have.

Yes, Celebrate in Gold by Dior. I really have enough dupes of the shades.
What were your favorites from the last month? THAT I BOUGHT: UD Naked Honey Palette, Natasha Denona Gold Mini Eyeshadow Palette, Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Nude Light, CP Smoke Show Palette, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation in F0.2 and Concealer in C0.2, and CP x Safiya Nygaard Lipstick Collection. THAT I DIDN’T BUY: Chanel Holiday Collection, Marc Jacobs Beauty Elec-trick Palette, Dior holiday quints.
REDISCOVERED FAVORITES: BH Cosmetics x Carli Bybel Duluxe Palette, Tarte Tarteist PRO Palette, Apocalyptic Beauty HL Powder in Ghostly Pallor, and UD Vice Lipsticks in Bruise and Zealot.
What didn’t impress you? I like everything I bought. THAT I DIDN’T BUY: All the ABH Norvina Pro and Mini Palettes, most of the MAC Starring You holiday collection, NARS Studio 54 Holiday Collection, Too Faced Gingerbread Extra Spicy Eyeshadow Palette, Ciate Jessica Rabbit Holiday Collection. Really, it’s been an abysmal year for holiday collections from mid-range brands, IMO.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Elec-trick Palette, Pat McGrath Nocturnal Nirvana Blitz Astral Eyeshadow Quad, Tarte 9 Ways to Shine Cheek Wardrobe, Anastasia Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette, Hourglass Ghost (Holiday 2019) Ambient Lighting Blush Quad, Fenty Bomb Baby Set and Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set, and the entire CP Disney Midnight Masquerade Collection (I only got the eye palette and the Meg set).
What were your favorites from the last month? I loved the Houglass Blush Quad so much that I picked up the Ghost Edit at the Rouge Sale. These are my first Hourglass face products so the duplicate items that many spoke of were good for me. I had belatedly gotten Metropolis and her green-tinged golds and browns fill a niche for green undertoned neutrals which are great for those of those with olive tones, so just got the Mini-Gold as well. Also loving the TF Maurice lippie.
What didn’t impress you? Colour Pop just lost my interest altogether with all their lookalike palettes. I now cringe when I see another collection from them. I did get the Smoke one and mostly use it to tone down the occasional warm shades I am experimenting with
Did you return anything you purchase? Yes, I returned the Alcone Viseart Downtown Palette. It’s a great color story but my Viseart Dark Mattes palette resurfaced and since I also have Coy accessible, I realized I did not really need it. Am also returning Chanel Blurry Gray. I resisted it, then got it. But it’s really too dark for me.
Or successfully resist temptation? So far, I have resisted the TF green palette, the new Chanel quad, the Denona Nude lipstick collection, which I can dupe from an assortment of CCO MAC Nudes. And today, I am wearing some mauves and reddish browns to ascertain whether I can resist the new PMG rose palette. Also the Suqqu Christmas and Candlelight collections.
