Sweet Mouth
Sweet Mouth is a very light, warmer peach with fine, multi-colored pearl throughout. It had a smooth, plush consistency that was comfortable to wear, easy to spread, and didn’t gather in my lip lines noticeably. It had semi-sheer coverage, which was in line with the formula, and it noticeably lightened my natural lip color and (almost gave my lips a milky quality to them). The gloss was non-sticky, hydrating, and lasted well for three and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview
$21.00/0.3 oz. - $70.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a “peach-vanilla” scent (I’d agree–sweet, lightly fruity) and be “conditioning.” It was designed to be worn alone or layered over other lip products. The consistency was very smooth, light-to-medium in weight, non-sticky, and comfortable to wear. It had a plusher consistency that helped it stay out of most of my lip lines. The shimmer was moderate but noticeable, and it distributed evenly across the lips. They last about three hours on my lips but are hydrating.

Sand Castle
Sand Castle is a light-medium, silvery taupe with warmer undertones and a cooler, silvery sheen. At times, the color looked almost lilac on my skin, though it often looked like a cooler “bronzing” hue, too. The texture was smooth to the touch, lightly creamy without being too densely pressed into the pan. It applied evenly and blended out with little effort without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading visibly.
Note, this shade is part of a permanent duo, but the version in the set is much, much more shimmery–the silvery shimmer is much more noticeable, which gives it a lighter, brighter effect straight on but when I angle my arm, they actually looked the same (I tested in person). They also appeared the same once applied and blended out on actual cheeks.

Formula Overview
$36.00/0.26 oz. - $138.46 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy texture" with a "mega-reflective, foil-like finish" that can be used on the "face, eyes, collarbone [or] anywhere you crave a touch of light." The brand described them as "buildable, color-rich luminizers," which seems to indicate the finish is more buildable than the base (as they're touted as "color-rich" in other marketing pieces).
The majority of the shades have mostly opaque to opaque pigmentation and have a denser, firmer texture (not stiff, though) that lends itself to lighter-hand application for sheerer coverage if preferred. Most of the shades were pearly to metallic with slight, finer sparkle and didn't emphasize my skin's natural texture.
They lasted between eight and nine hours on me with minimal fading over time. As eyeshadows, they performed decently, but a couple of shades had larger flecks of sparkle, which seemed to look more obvious when I tried blending them out as an eyeshadow.

I think Sand Castle is a beautiful eyeshadow shade, not quite a highlighter.
I was thinking the same – it looks almost like the ideal light taupe shimmery shadow but on my face, it is likely to end up looking like a bruise over which I’ve unwisely put some highlighter….I wish it was a shade that could work for me but I doubt it.
What I love about the Sweet Mouth Gloss Bomb is that even though it does look milky, it doesn’t do all the usual no-no’s of a milky gloss. No weird line gathering or splotchy appearance. Plus, I’ve always wanted Sand Castle anyways, so this duo gets my dwollahs!
i got this set a little while ago, and i love it ! like nancy t. said, i like how sweet mouth is kind of a pale, milky gloss but it doesn’t look weird and performs well. i’ve been loving using it with a pale blue or turquoise eyeshadow and winged eyeliner as a more toned-down version of my fave 60s mod look. i was originally worried about how sand castle would look on me as i’m very fair, but i really love it ! on me, the micro-shimmers in it give it simultaneously a very glossy but also blinding look.
I love the sand castle item, but skip the glosses wish it was sold separately……..
I just ordered this set. I know the highlighter is going to be too dark for me but I really wanted the gloss so I’ll just use Sandcastle as an eyeshadow.
I’m hoping they bring the gloss out as a full size as I don’t need anymore highlighters. I think it’s amazing how long the gloss lasts for you. I can’t get more than an hour with the Fenty ones. Love the scent of them though! For me the only gloss which lasts over two hours is the glossier one.
I agree with you. I’m going to do a declutter soon and just realized I have 35 highlighters so I definitely don’t need anymore. I don’t have any Fenty highlighters because they’re all too dark for my very fair, NW10, skintone but their gloss formula is my all time favorite so when I saw this set had a new pink shade, I bought it for that alone. I considered the Glossy Posse mini set but I have a full size Fussy and none of the other colors interested me. I also don’t get much longevity out of the gloss but that doesn’t bother me much.
I wanted Sandcastle as an eyeshadow when I first saw it in Duo. I might pick it up but give the gloss away. I have one gloss bomb and the scent is too sweet, so no more gloss bombs for me
i’ll buy the gloss from you! i bought this set and LOVE it! i’d buy another but how many highlighters does a girl need? if you have an ebay or paypal account, lemme know, it is a serious offer.
Is the scent of the gloss closer to Fussy or Fenty Glow/Diamond Milk?
Sorry, my nose is apparently not sophisticated enough as I’ve not noted any differences in scent between the shades that I recall!
