Smoke Out
Super impressed with your palette names. 🙂
Oh my goodness, trying to think of short and sweet names 24 times in a row is a challenge!!
I bet! I’m impressed, too.
Oh Christine! You really have an eye for this! Totally bookmarking this page!
Love Sultry Smoke and Fun in the Sun!!!
These are beautiful, Christine! Thank you for the thought and work you put into this project. As a person who is transitioning from palettes to single pans, this kind of post is incredibly helpful.
What are the colors of sultry smoke? For some reasons I cannot see them! Christine, then you for putting together this list… I have always been intimidated by Soo many colors!
Make Up For Ever D104 Black Diamond — A Cool Black with a Sparkle finish.
Make Up For Ever D320 Golden Khaki — A Warm Green with a Sparkle finish.
Make Up For Ever D562 Taupe Platinum — A Warm Brown with a Metallic finish.
Make Up For Ever ME554 Gunmetal — A Warm Taupe with a Metallic finish.
Thank you so much!
121 colors = almost 8.5 million possible quads! Help is more than appreciated. Also, many of these made me smile.
optional math teacher moment:
(121)(120)(119)(118)/(4)(3)(2)=8,495,410 (number of choices for each of the 4 colors divided by the fact that it didn’t matter what order we chose them in)
No wonder I always feel so stressed picking out my own quads! 😀
Hidden Woods! Even if I wouldn’t be using them all at once together, would certainly feed my green cravings!
Color Forgive Me is sooo fun!!!
These are beautiful! Great names, too.
Seeing these colors remixed helps me rediscover them. I realize how much I like Tree Fir Green, Peacock, and Bronze even if I don’t arrange my quads the way you have. Tempting Fate and Forest Fairy are my faves!
As someone who doesn’t know where to start with MUFE shadows and LOVES green, I salute you, madam!
Thanks a heap, Christine (just joking)….I’d previously written off the “new” versions of the shadows I already own from the “old” formula. Now I’m wanting a whole bunch of them. The pairings you’ve put together are stunning and also “make sense” – something I always struggle with when putting together singles….I’ll buy 4 or 5 really similar shades and be left with nothing that works well together! So the groupings are stunning and the names are fantastic – Hidden Woods, Smoke Out…..just the names make me want to buy them ALL! I’m going to try really hard to resist re-buying the ones I’ve already got but may flesh them out with some shades I don’t have to make up groupings like these (though I’ll have round pans with rectangular pans which doesn’t fit all that nicely in empty palettes).
Wow! I can’t imagine how much time went into this article! About half of the quads really appeal to me. Thanks for giving such great ideas!
i’m nominating this post for post of the year! great names and shade selections! favorite quads are reptile sheen, forest fairy and hidden wooods are my favorites although anything green dominate has my attention. best name goes to color forgive me! which quads are your favorite, christine?
Probably Tempting Fate 🙂
There are some great combos here! Thank you so much for the suggestions. I normally prefer single pans over palettes,so this is fantastic in helping me decide where to start.
Love this post. Great ideas for MUFE quads. I just bought a quad during their sale. Of course because I am obsessed with green shadow right now it was various shades. My green envy palette consists of Bottle green, bronze, black bronze and buttercup.
I would buy half of these! I think my favorite is sweet Oliver, especially if I could make it a quint with D552 for a light all over the lid shade!
This is a great idea! Hope you make more of these even if for brands that don’t sell singles. A lot of us depot and having these quad ideas is nice for taking a mini palette on vacation. 🙂
