MAC Flamboyish Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium magenta pink with cool, blue undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage with a fairly smooth, thinner texture that tended to emphasize the texture of my lips just slightly. It was applied evenly and lasted for hours–it was still going strong after six hours and left a stain behind when I removed it. The formula was slightly drying. KVD Beauty Crush (LE, $21.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Smoked Rose (LE, $19.00) is darker (95% similar). NYX Shocking Pink (P, $6.00) is lighter (95% similar). Bite Beauty #092 (P, $18.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Both Cheeks (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (95% similar). Bite Beauty #094 (P, $18.00) is darker (95% similar). Dior Ultra Loud (679) (P, $37.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). KVD Beauty Backstage Bambi (P, $20.00) is darker, less glossy (95% similar). NARS Yu (PiP, $25.00) is glossier (95% similar). MAC Be Silly (LE, $19.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Smashbox Talk to Me (P, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Kingdom of Sweets Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a pale, milky pink with a strong, white base and subtle, cool undertones paired with a natural finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff, which applied more evenly than I anticipated, as these milkier shades tend to look very streaky. I had just a touch of color pull into lip lines, but it was barely noticeable and didn’t worsen much more over time. The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip and was comfortable to wear. It wore for three and a half hours on me and was neither drying nor hydrating. Smashbox Obvi (P, $21.00) is darker (95% similar). L'Oreal Dewey Petal (P, $9.99) is darker (90% similar). MAC Tease Me (P, $20.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Rose Lily (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Be Fabulous (P, $25.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Real Doll (LE, $19.00) is darker, more muted, warmer (85% similar). MAC Ladies Who Lunch (LE, $25.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Maybelline Petal Pink (710) (P, $7.49) is darker (85% similar). Maybelline Playful Peony (975) (LE, $7.49) is darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

MAC Leap of Delight Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium-dark purple with warmer, pink udnertones and a satin finish. The consistency was lightly creamy and glided on without tugging on the lips, but it wasn’t slippery, so it didn’t slide around on the lips easily. It had mostly opaque color coverage that went on evenly and left behind a stain after I wore it for six hours. Make Up For Ever M502 (DC, $22.00) is glossier (95% similar). MAC Potent Fig (LE, $19.00) is glossier (90% similar). NARS Kirat (P, $34.00) is darker (95% similar). MAC Punk Couture (P, $19.00) is darker (95% similar). Smashbox Mongal (LE, $24.00) is less shimmery, brighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC Epic (LE, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). Sephora Orchid (P, $14.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Jawbreaker (DC, $18.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). NARS Soul Train (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Pandemonium (P, $18.00) is lighter, less glossy (85% similar). Urban Decay Pandemonium (DC, $18.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Smashbox Violet Riot (P, $21.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). ColourPop Chaps (LE, $6.50) is darker, more muted (80% similar). Makeup Geek Savvy (P, $15.00) is lighter, more muted (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

MAC Saucy Little Darling Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium pink with warm undertones and a natural finish. It had rich, opaque pigmentation that applied with smooth, even color. The consistency had light slip so that it glided on without tugging on the lips but didn’t slide or feather on me. I found the light sheen and emollient consistency to be more flattering on lips, as it didn’t emphasize my lip lines or settle into them. This shade stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and was a touch hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Flamingo (P, $57.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Love at First Bite (LE, $19.00)(95% similar). Laura Mercier Rose Ultimate (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). Urban Decay Checkmate (DC, $18.00) is darker (95% similar). MAC You're So Vain (P, $23.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Hello Fruity (LE, $9.00) is less shimmery, darker, less pigmented (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Bitten (P, $29.00) is less shimmery, more muted, warmer (85% similar). Shiseido Pink Flash (214) (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Lisa Eldridge Velvet Pompadour (P, $36.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Too Faced As If (P, $22.00) is lighter, less glossy (90% similar). MAC So Good For You Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark red with strong, cool, pink undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff, though it wasn’t fully opaque; it had an even translucency to it so that it looked rich and bold, but a hint of the natural lip color still came through. The texture was firmer, a little velvety in the tube, but it took more pressure to apply and tugged on the lips as I worked it across my lips. It felt thinner, somewhat clingy, and overall, moderately drying over time, but it lasted for over six hours and left a strong stain behind. MAC Pomegranate (LE, $25.00) is lighter (95% similar). NYX Eden (P, $6.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (95% similar). Tarte Cheerleader (P, $20.00) is less glossy (95% similar). NYX Bloody Mary (P, $6.00) is lighter (95% similar). Wow, so impressed a purple lipstick ( Leap of Delight) scored an A!! Yay! I’m checking my stash for dupes, and if nothing, will be on my buy list

Some shades are interesting but I’m not feeling them as we go into late fall/winter. I have dupes for the bright shades and a preference for a brighter plum, so this is a pass for me.

Fran Avatar

Thanks for the link, Christine! I guess there is a little bit of a difference, at least for purple lipstick lovers! I actually might like Leap of Delight better… even though I bought Hellebore after the MUA put it on me at the Nordstrom beauty trend event, lol.

The quality of these is very consistently good! Nice surprise there! Leap Of Delight and Saucy Little Miss are my favorites. I love how deep and rich this purple is, and without all the usual issues that tend to plague deep purple lipsticks. And Saucy Little Miss looks great for later on, in springtime. Leap Of Delight is the one I might have to grab!

Well done, MAC!
They managed to make a white based pink look good! I find that happens so rarely. Not that it’s a colour for me, but I still admire it.
All the others are ones I like for myself, I do have dupes for So Good for You, so I can ignore that when these hit the counters. Saucy Little Darling is a maybe, Leap of Delight is a must and Flamboyish a big want.
Can you tell I really like this part of the holiday LE’s 🙂

I really like So Good for You which is typical of my lipstick preferences but I have ordered Sour Cherry so don’t think I need it. I will see when I actually go to town to swatch.

I was so disappointed with the other collections this year (like the star trek one). But I love the christmas collection that they created and I’m so happy that they also have a pretty packaging 🙂

You look great in all of them. I personally loved the flamboyish and the saucy little darling colours, they look so flattering. By any chance is their carmine in those lip products?
