Sephora Orchid Lip Last Matte Lipstick ($14.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich, mediumd-ark purple with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. This particular shade took longer to dry down than most, so it didn't look full-on matte until 15 to 20 minutes after application, though it was transfer-resistant before then (after about five minutes).
It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly in a single layer. The texture felt like a gel-like balm as it glided across my lips and felt as if it melted while I applied it, but it was very lightweight and forgiving of most imperfections in lip texture. It wore well for over seven hours before starting to fade a bit, and it faded evenly when it did. It was transfer-resistant from light eating and drinking over time and felt neither drying nor hydrating.
