MAC Nutcracker Sweet Pink Mineralize Kit ($55.00 for 0.46 oz.) includes a full-sized Mineralize Rich Lipstick, full-sized Mineralize Lipglass, and a miniature sized Mineralize Skinfinish. The lipstick and highlighter are both part of the permanent range, while the gloss is new and exclusive to the set. The kit comes with a large, zippered makeup “box” (less of a bag, more of a rectangular box where the top zips open). The highlighter is the best part of the set, which can be purchased individually (but in full size); the lipstick and lipgloss are misses for me.

Be Fabulous is a light pink with cool, blue undertones and a fine, pearly sheen. The formula is supposed to have medium, buildable coverage with a hydrating feel that lasts six hours. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied evenly but had a tendency to settle into lip lines. The consistency was smooth, lightweight, thin without being clingy or dry, and comfortable to wear over the three and a half hours (but not the six promised) it lasted. Elegantly Elegant is a light-medium pastel pink with a creamy finish and very fine white pearl. It’s supposed to be a sheer formula with “modern shine.” It had semi-opaque coverage that didn’t look streaky in terms of application, but the color emphasized every single lip line I had on my lips, so it still looked streaky and uneven at a glance. Lightscapade is a very light, gold-tinted white with a luminous finish. The Mineralize Skinfinish formula is supposed to have a “velvety soft” feel and a “radiant finish” with “sheer coverage.” It had semi-sheer, buildable color coverage with a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t dusty or powdery in the pan. The powder blended out easily on the skin, and it gave an ethereal glow to the skin that did not emphasize my pores or the natural texture of my skin.
