Charlotte Tilbury Birkin Brown, Bond Girl, Very Victoria, Walk of Shame Matte Revolution Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
So 90s (was Birkin Brown)
Charlotte Tilbury So 90s Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark reddish-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied with smooth, even color without tugging on the lips. I wouldn’t describe the payoff as buildable; it is as it applies initially, perhaps a little can be built up, but there’s not much to go from where it starts. The color wore well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.
This was previously named Birkin Brown.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "long-lasting color" that's "buildable" with "glowing pigments" that give the "illusion of wider, fuller lips." Some shades are buildable while others are fairly pigmented in one stroke. The consistency was more velvety, lightweight, and thin without being clingy or drying over time. I found that some shades were flattering on, as they didn't emphasize lip texture or get into my lip lines, while other shades gravitated into my lip lines. They wore between three and five hours and were typically non-drying. There was no discernible scent or taste.

MI Kiss (was Bond Girl)
Charlotte Tilbury MI Kiss Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable coverage (finally!) that applies smoothly with a lightweight consistency. This shade had more slip than most shades in the range, but it was also lightly hydrating over the five hours it wore for.
This was previously named Bond Girl.

Very Victoria
Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium-dark rosy brown with subtle, warm-to-neutral undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff that lasted for four hours on me. The consistency was velvety but clingier than other shades, and it was somewhat drying while worn.

I’m kind of sad that “Bond Girl” isn’t a color I would ever wear, because I’m a huge Bond fan and kind of want to buy it just for the name haha.
Awww! For some reason, I expected more oomph from it, even though I’m sure they don’t wear tons of bold lipsticks in the movies (I actually have no idea, lol).
Oh man, I like the first 3 – have a real weakness for brown- based lippies. These look great for fall/winter. I might have to treat myself to one. I especially like how Bond Girl is red but not too red. I do love me a bold red lip but sometimes you just want some red that’s really easy to wear and not too bold
You and me both, Katherine, and five years ago, I never would have thought brown lipstick was my thing!
I like all four, but especially Walk of Shame and Bond Girl. (No big surprise; I own maybe too many Walk of Shame dupes… and Bond Girl is just such easy to wear shade.)
I think I’d like Very Victoria more in a different finish; for some reason the color and finish work against each other, to my eyes. Birkin Brown is that kind of brown I can ~probably~ make work, but it tiptoes the line of making me look dead. The teensiest shift toward gray-brown and my complexion is toast! Pale, wilted toast.
I’d love Very Victoria if it had a little glossiness to it, I think.
Yay! The three I wanted most did well and I’m glad Very Victoria is not for me. And since they’re permanent, I have time to get them.
Woohoo! 😀
Birkin Brown really is a great shade for fall! My personal favorite is Bond Girl though.
Great pick!
There is something very spot on about these colors that I want them all. I wish I could try them out in person first.
I hope you can find a way to try them sometime, Jacqueline!
Out of all four, I am liking Birkin Brown the best. It seems quite similar to MAC Paramount lipstick which is a true well-worn and much loved 90’s lippy. I think I’d need to actually try it or most of the others from CT “Matte Revolution” line due to many seeming sheerer than I’m used to for mattes.
Ooh, nice! 😀
I’ve never been interested in Charlotte Tilbury products. She’s soo pushy and the price, i feel, is too high for the actual product you’re getting. But… WOW! I love all of these! Esp the first 3. I might have to take the plunge. 🙂
I can see why you’d say that! I don’t know if it’s any higher than other comparable lines backed by makeup artists, but it’s certainly not a cheap line (and you don’t always get what you pay for at luxury lines).
I love them all, but wow Bond Girl is stunning! I haven’t tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury yet, but I think Bond Girl might be my first purchase.
Keep us posted if you end up splurging, Mary!
Really surprised that these are semi-matte. Bond Girl is pretty but looks like something I have from Revlon…
I’m glad you have a dupe!
These are pretty and Birkin is my fave here. I wish we had a CT counter so I could try them. But, honestly, I can’t get over how sheer they look compared to other mattes that are out. 1975 Red doesn’t seem sheer and it’s a matte. Christine, do you think 1975 Red is more opaque then the new line?
I think it is more intense than a lot of these!
Hmmm… Bond Girl and Walk of Shame look quite similar, no?
They have similarities for sure!
These shades are all lovely. I love the soft, diffused finish.
Their use of “soft matte” was quite accurate for this range!
Bond Girl is soooooo pretty (on you too)!!!
Thanks, Chellie!
Bond Girl looks so much different on people. I swear it looks cool or warm depending on your skin tone!
It is one of those chameleon shades!
I like Bond Girl and Walk of Shame, not sure I’ll splurge though, but as they are permanent I don’t have to rush to get them.
Gotta love permanent things 😀
I like Very Victoria & Bond Girl for myself but all 4 look great on u.
All of those listed here are too much “old lady” for me… 🙁
Bummer!
These lipsticks look gorgeous!
