What were your favorites from the last month? Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick in Rosy Boop, MAC Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick (worn on top of a light coat of Dior Addict Lip Glow in Berry), Diorskin Nude Luminizer in Pink Glow.
What didn’t impress you? I wanted to love Guerlain Meteorites Pearls so badly, but I just don’t see that it does very much on my skin. But it smells gorgeous! Speaking of Guerlain, their Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca perfume sounded like something I’d love, but it didn’t mix well with my chemistry, so I’m sticking to their lovely Mandarine Basilic. Also, Bite Beauty Libra Lipstick, which I got as a mini in the holiday set, looks terrible on me.

1. What were your favorites from the last month? I made only one purchase– Clinique’s Black Honey to round up a skincare order and get free shipping. I had it years ago and gave it away but decided to try again. It’s nice. Not great, but nice. I’ll use it.
2. What didn’t impress you? No other purchases.
3. Did you return anything you purchase? No.
4. Or successfully resist temptation? My daughter and I hit Sephora on Michigan Avenue in Chicago over the holiday. We saw so much that we wanted, but I only picked up my Bite lip kit birthday gift (which I then left behind in the hotel–gutted). Also, I very much wanted Sydney Grace Autumn’s Reign and to get some of the ColourPop e/s which are still on sale.

What didn’t impress you? Everything I bought/received impressed me.

Or successfully resist temptation? Yes, UD Beached was on sale at Mecca cosmetical and I resisted that.
Lots of skincare bundles, that I love, but because the brands often contains toners, which I don’t use, I resisted them.
Otherwise I was not really tempted by anything else here in Aus.
I do so love those Sydney Grace eyeshadows – especially Midnight Gold. And I like Crackle too.
Favorites from December: Pat McGrath Mothership V palette, Thrive Causemetics blush in shade Rosy, Pat McGrath Blitztrance lipstick in Club Kiss and Rebel Red.
What didn’t impress: Thrive mascara. I think my hopes were too high given the hype. It is okay and works when paired with other mascara’s but overall not my favorite.
Returns: No
Resist temptation: Smoke Sessions palette (was that December?) Sultry palette and at least a million lipsticks.
Speaking of the Smoke Sessions palette, I have been looking at dupes and trying to decide whether to find single shadows (this makes the most sense) to put into a magnetized palette but recently saw that LimeCrime is releasing a Venus XL2 palette and it has several green/gold/brown options. In many ways reminds me of the green/brown palette from Natasha Denona only not as big or as expensive. I am trying to decide whether to purchase or not. It isn’t cheap but waiting for the drop and hopefully someone I trust will review it!!
