ColourPop Thank U, Next, Misty, Martian, Crackle, Over It Pressed Powder Shadows Reviews & Swatches
Thank U, Next
ColourPop Thank U, Next Pressed Powder Shadow ($5.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-copper with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had good color payoff, but the texture was drier and more loosely-pressed in the pan, which I felt resulted in more product kicking up in the pan and a tendency for it to sheer out when applied. I’d recommend using this shade with a dampened brush, which would help improve the payoff, minimize the fallout, and help it go on more evenly. This color wore well for eight hours on me with slight fallout in the first hour but no further fallout afterward that I could discern.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Misty
ColourPop Misty Pressed Powder Shadow ($5.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium, rosy copper with warmer undertones and a lightly sparkling, metallic finish. The texture felt soft, almost cream-like–it had some give and yielded well to brushes but wasn’t too softly pressed in the pan. It had fantastic pigmentation that adhered well to bare skin and was easy to apply. It lasted beautifully for eight and a half hours on me.

Martian
ColourPop Martian Pressed Powder Shadow ($5.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark copper with strong, warmer orange undertones and a matte finish. I noticed that while it was quite matte, it seemed to absorb the natural oils from my skin a little more, so it looked less flat and matte when applied. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage in a single layer, and while I worried about application, it ended up blending out very easily on my skin. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours on me before I noticed any fading.

Crackle
ColourPop Crackle Pressed Powder Shadow ($5.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a brighter, medium copper with strong, warm orange undertones and a soft, metallic sheen. It had intense color coverage with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that felt dense without being too thick or too stiff in the pan. The eyeshadow applied well and blended out easily along the edges. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours on me before it started to fade noticeably.

Over It
ColourPop Over It Pressed Powder Shadow ($5.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium, pink-coral with warmer undertones and a frosted, golden sheen. The pigmentation was good, though not quite opaque, but it was buildable to full coverage without having to use it with a dampened brush. The latter improved the initial coverage and helped it apply more smoothly, though. The texture felt a little dusty in the pan, but I found that it buffed and blended out well on my skin and looked smoother than I expected in the end. It lasted well for eight hours before it started to show signs of fading.

Gorgeous shades, especially Crackle.
Why Martian? Why do you have to look this close to UD Tajin? Oh dear. I really didn’t believe that I had a dupe for Martian. And all the rest in today’s batch.
Funny, when I think Martian, I thought the color would be green, like a typical alien caricature. But I guess it’s colored for the dirt instead.
I’m impressed at how fast they released a shade named after Ariana Grande’s song (which came out November 3).
Very pretty, especially Martian, Crackle, and Misty.
