Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette
Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette ($20.83 for 0.36 oz.) includes a contouring powder, highlighter, and blush. It comes in a slim, “rose gold” cardboard palette where each shade is a good-size for travel but still large enough to accommodate many different-sized face brushes. The quality of the palette is nice, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more aptly named highlighter, though this isn’t going to be the most universally-applicable palette, so I would have loved to have seen iterations of “rose gold” for darker skin tones, too.
Heavy Crown is a muted, medium brown with subtle, warmer undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had semi-opaque coverage that was buildable, but the consistency was thinner and firmer in the pan (whereas the other shades were softer), so it was a little harder to grab color onto the brush as well as harder to blend on the skin. On me, this shade wore for seven and a half hours. Tarte Contour Soft (Tarteist) (LE, ) is warmer (95% similar). MAC Taupe (P, $24.00) is lighter (95% similar). Too Faced Medium Cocoa (PiP, ) is darker (90% similar). Make Up For Ever S112 (P, $23.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). LORAC Light Contour (P, ) is darker, cooler (90% similar). NARS Talia (Contour) (PiP, ) is darker (90% similar). elf Feelin' Shady (P, $7.00) is darker (90% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Light (P, $44.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). MAC Crevasse (LE, ) is darker (95% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Medium (P, $44.00) is darker (90% similar). Tarte Shade (PiP, ) is darker (85% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm (Sculpt) (PiP, ) is less shimmery, warmer (85% similar). Viseart Sculpting #1 (PiP, ) is lighter (85% similar). Make Up For Ever S116 (P, $23.00) is lighter (85% similar). Zoeva Unfinished (PiP, ) is lighter, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Glowing Still is a bright, creamy white with a yellow sheen. It was richly pigmented with a soft, lightly powdery consistency that seemingly glows in the dark it’s so bright and white. I thought it would look ashy or chalky on me skin tone, but I was surprised at how much the sheen came through after blending and buffing the product into the skin–but it did lighten the area slightly, so it may suit lighter skin tones better. The highlighter started to fade after eight hours of wear. Fenty Beauty Sidechick (P, $28.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). ColourPop Ur Glowing (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, warmer (95% similar). LORAC Star Reader (LE, $23.00) is darker, more muted (95% similar). ColourPop Jelly Roll (PiP, $10.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Pat McGrath Pale Gold 002 (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery, darker, more muted (90% similar). Hourglass Pure Strobe Light (LE, ) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. Palace Door is a light-medium, pinky-peach with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. The texture was soft, smooth, and dense with a moderate creaminess (though it is a powder!) that blends and diffuses nicely on the skin. I thought the amount of shimmer was going to be prove problematic on the skin, but it didn’t emphasize pores at all. It’s more of a highlighting blush on my skin tone, so it makes me think the palette might be better for those lighter than I. The blush wore well for eight hours before fading. MAC Talk of the Town (LE, $29.00) is cooler (90% similar). Becca Lychee/Opal (P, $27.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). MAC Nuanced (LE, $34.00) is warmer (90% similar). LORAC Sunlight (LE, $23.00) is warmer (90% similar). ColourPop On My Mind (P, $10.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Chanel Tweed Beige (140) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). ColourPop Strapped (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Wet 'n' Wild Rose Champagne (P, $2.99) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Pink Glow #4 (LE, $60.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Maybelline Nude Rebellion (201) (LE, $8.99) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Gorgeous Glowing Beauty #5 (LE, $40.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Milani Rosa Romantica (P, $7.99) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Lethal Cosmetics Quantum (P, $18.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). To me the highlighter looks a bit fake or something, don’t really know how to explain. The other colours are subtle but very nice…
Oh, that’s too bad!
Now here’s a palette for pale to light skin tones. I would still be worried about Heavy Crown Contour Powder reading yellow on me.
Yep! It screamed “light” skin tones to me, though it doesn’t look bad on me, I don’t think it’ll show up as well on skin tones much darker than me either.
Palace Door is a gorgeous rose gold, and Glowing Still is well named -wow, that is bright, and look at that stunning duo chrome finish, kind of OTT , but it’s beautiful! Reminds me of the Looxi highlighters. BTW, are you still planning to review those?
It is very bright! Perhaps the strongest yellow sheen of the whole white gold/yellow sheen family of highlighters!
Wow, that highlighter. I squinted. I would totally wear these three. Is Zoeva sold at any other retailers?
LOL! Glowing Still is SO bright!
They might have more distribution outside of U.S., which I’m not familiar with, but I know for U.S. direct is really the only official channel.
Here is a link to the worldwide retailers:

Enjoy!
Looks like Sephora Australia carries Zoeva!! I wish Sephora Canada did π !!
FINALLY a worthy dupe for TF Pink Glow #4. I live in fear of when my Pink Glow palette is empty.
Yayyy!
I like! And not expensive either. I do have loads of highlighters…but no dupes for those! Haha!
It’s nice! I hope they”ll do more trios.
Yeah, I definitely agree that these are probably better suited for lighter skin tones. I can’t picture any of these showing up super well on me either.
It’s a bummer!
That first full-face picture is probably my favourite picture of you ever, Christine! And the second blush and the highlight shade are breathtaking!
Wow, thank you Megan!
Wow all 3 look really beautiful on the skin! Gorgeous finishes and a super flattering look, I like that! I hope a US retailer will pick up Zoeva (actually I thought Spacenk already carried the brand, I don’t know where I got that idea!).
I hope one day a U.S. one will! The shipping is high unless you order a lot π
At an NC37-40 skintone, I doubt that this would work as a blush or contouring palette for me. BUT, as a HIGHLIGHTER palette? YES! And the Glowing Still and Palace Door shades are brilliant (pun intended) for that purpose!
Oooh, true! It would work was more of a highlighting blush/highlighting palette.
I love it! Now, if i would get myself to throw down a significant amount of money at once to one company! i wish they just had free shipping! lol.My Zoeva list just got longer!
One day!
Omg, looking at them in the full face pictures, I sighed. Those are just TOO pretty. I think they would work really well on my skin tone. Zoeva really seems to have this ‘rose gold’ thing nailed… I may have to save up a bit and buy several of their products at once to make the shipping worth it. I’m still so in love with rose gold– when I bought Naked 3, I finally understood what “neutral” was supposed to mean for me. I’m so pink, lol. Ahh this looks amazing, thank you so much for swatching!
No problem, Elizabeth! π
These aren’t subtle but they sure are pretty. I think they would be great for the rare times I use full coverage foundation. I think they might look a bit strong for everyday.
That’s great to hear!
Really lovely colours and I adore that Palace Door blush – they all look pretty on you Christine. And it isn’t expensive either for such a good rating.
So true! π
Thanks, Genevieve!
That highlighter!!! overall I don’t think the palette will work for medium to tan skin tones π
I think it will be too light π
Whoa! Glowing still is intense. I like it! This is a very pretty palette with a contour shade that might work for me.
It’s a bright one!
OMG that highlighter swatch is not what I was expecting from the pan! Whoa! I really like the look of this palette, but I’m still on a no-low-buy and doing well π
Haha! Me neither!
Very pretty! It does seem like it would suit fair-to-light, warm or neutral complexions best.
It would!
That is actually super pretty on. I have an eyeshadow with a similar effect – Toronto, by Cargo – but I haven’t tried using it as a highlighter. I should!
Oooh, that would be a good way to try something like it!
Glowing still reminds me of Posh highlighter from Looxi. If I remember correctly, you ordered some so maybe you can add that to the dupe list if it’s similar enough π
I pulled all the dupes I could think of! π
Its so funny, because everyone in the US thinks that if a product has to come all the way from Germany, 16USD is a high price. I live in The Netherlands, and I pay 3x that for most things (Sephora… I see you)
So 16USD is not that ridiculous if you think about other people that need to pay a crazy amount or that company doesnΒ΄t ship to your country (Colourpop, Too Faced, Urban Decay, 60% of the brandss a Sephora)
