MAC LarLarLee & Gabriel Zamora Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
LarLarLee
MAC LarLarLee Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light, pinky-beige with neutral-to-warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had rich color payoff that applied evenly and didn’t drag on the lips, but the color pulled away at my lip lines and appeared slightly “cracked.” The texture felt more velvety, a little thicker but not heavy, and comfortable to wear over the five hours it lasted for.
This shade is a collaboration between MAC and YouTuber Laura Lee, which launches April 20th and will only be available in the U.S. There are several other shades (with other collaborators) that will release to specific regions: see full press release here. I only have the U.S. and Canadian shades.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Gabriel Zamora
MAC Gabriel Zamora Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a muted, medium brown with warm, rosy undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. The lipstick was lightweight, creamy without being slippery, and comfortable to wear. It wore well for five hours on me and was neither drying nor hydrating.
This shade is a collaboration between MAC and YouTuber Gabriel Zamora, which launches April 20th and will only be available in the U.S. There are several other shades (with other collaborators) that will release to specific regions: see full press release here. I only have the U.S. and Canadian shades.

Mac Gabriel Zamora is my looks nice as it is similar to Mocha(one of my fav mac lipsticks). Will order on Thus when available. Love the earings
Thank you, Lily!
Interesting…that neither of them went for a more interesting shade. A beige nude (?) and a nice lo, but very dupable brown. With 2 tubes of Royally Riotous, I guess I don’t really need Gabriel Zamora’s shade, although it does look really nice!
*nice looking, but very dupable brown.
I’m wondering if MAC specifically wanted the collaborators to do their take on “nudes” or if it was just coincidence. What’s interesting is that they are labeling everything S/S ’17 – makes me wonder if we will see more shades.
I like Gabriel’s shade but I’m in Canada. 🙁
Oh no! 🙁
My fave is the Zamora shade! Glad it’s available in USA but would be bummed if a fave shade wasn’t available here
I think it would be better to offer it as a collection across the world – perhaps if there are certain regions that are complicated, then make those just region-specific!
I agree. It’s not like we only read blogs, watch You Tubers from our own region. I guess some e-bay sellers will have a bit of fun.
I like the second one, so i’ll be looking into the BB dupe for it!!!
Hope you can find a dupe!
I would say that LarLarLeeLipstick is my favourite of the entire collaboration! I love the pinky-beige colour which looks like it’s going to look great on every skintone!
Neither of these colors would work on me but I’m glad the colab is good!
I hate how MAC did this collection, so that you can only buy the influencers lipstick if you live in their country. Obviously people watch these youtubers all over the world so it doesn’t make sense to limit the release.
