Dose of Colors Blushing Berries Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Blushing Berries
Dose of Colors Blushing Berries Eyeshadow Palette ($32.00 for 0.30 oz.) contains a soft coral, muted copper, berry, plum, and soft black with all five being fairly matte in finish. The formula used was more powdery and a bit denser, though it was buildable and blendable overall. I personally felt that there was a bit of a learning curve to minimize fallout, though, and to get the right amount of product on the brush.

Berry Chic
Berry Chic is a slightly muted, medium-dark pink-coral with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It applied a bit darker than it appeared in the pan. The texture was soft, lightly powdery, but it was more substantial and had good adhesion to bare skin without losing its intensity. It had opaque pigmentation that wore well for eight hours on me.

Rose Berry
Rose Berry is a muted, medium-dark copper with warm, red undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had medium color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage but was hard to get to full coverage without using a primer. The texture was somewhat powdery and very soft, so a lighter touch was necessary with this shade to avoid a lot of fallout during application. It blended out well and lasted for eight hours on me before it started to fade.

Berry Pop
Berry Pop is a deep berry with cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a soft, lightly powdery texture that had slight fallout during application (even after I tapped off excess product). It was easy to blend out and work with, though. This shade stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Mixed Berries
Mixed Berries is a deep plum with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. There were faint shimmers strewn throughout, but it looked a lot like a matte finish in practice. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage with a soft, lightly powdery texture. There was enough substance that the eyeshadow applied well to bare skin and didn’t appear uneven nor was it challenging to blend out. It lasted well for eight hours before I noticed any fading.

Berry Black
Berry Black is a deep black with neutral undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a soft, denser consistency that was somewhat powdery in the pan–it was the type of texture that needed a lighter hand to minimize over-applying. It blended out fairly well, but it could have been easier to work with. The color stayed on well for eight hours on me.

Even though I knew I likely had dupes for most, if not all 5 shades, I’ve been very curious to read your take on this all matte quint. It does seem very good for those willing to take their time using it, since a few of the shades need kid gloves in order to avoid a mess.
I love these shades but have a lot of them and I don’t want to have to work so hard to get a decent eye look. If the shades were unique then I would be happy to put forth more effort. And while I don’t have to have a matte brow bone shade, (I can pull from another palette), I don’t need a black shade. So, overall not worth it to me.
Mixed Berries is a pretty shade and if you just wanted a couple of shades in this colour range, this little palette would be perfect. Beautiful eye look Christine.
These are beautiful colours but very autumnal. Speaking as a Brit who has just emerged from the longest winter forever!
Sorry but I am commiserating with you!! We had snow in the mountains last night here in Montana. It is summer in about a week, LOL. Crazy weather.
I have 3 of the 4 dose of colors matte palettes and I love all of them. They’re great for travel. This one is my go to for berry eyeshadows.
While I won’t be purchasing this (I’m so over the orange and red eyeshadow trend), for those interested I’m glad to see the swatches look nice. Christine, I’m always amazed that you are able to produce beautiful looks no matter what the palette throws at you.
I’ve heard great things about these DOC palettes. Thanks Christine stunning eye look!
This tempts me as I have been wanting some pink and berries with warm undertones. Not up for the black though, and overall it reads a little dark that may not work for my fair skin. Am going to study up on the dupes and see what happens
So pretty! A beautiful palette.
I have Dose of Colors Sienna and Mauve palettes. Pretty powdery but good pigmentation. Not a big fan of all matte eye shadow palettes. Love the eye look you Christine!
Now this is prettier to me that the Urban Decay palette that just came out. It seems to have a better color payoff. I don’t know what’s up with the muted look? Zoeva just came out with Screen Queen, and it look like the cool side of the Urban Decay palette only more faded. I guess people are already tired of deep, popping color, but not me. 😉
I bought this and had to return. I had the worst allergic reaction to this palette. Courtesy warning to anyone with sensitive eye area, this palette may not be suited for you.
I have dupes for every shade, and I knew I would, but I want this and the Marvelous Mauves palette so bad. Hopefully, they will eventually have a sale and I can pick them up. But again, you are a complete mind reader b/c I was going to request that you review one of the Does of Colors 5-pan palettes.
I like this!! 🙂
I want this. I got the mauves palette and I’d like to work this palette into it.
