Beast is a deep black with a matte finish and neutral undertones. The consistency was soft, thin without being too thin, and blended out fairly well, though it wasn't the easiest black eyeshadow to work with that I've come across . The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, and it applied evenly to bare skin. It wore nicely for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.
