Clionadh Cosmetics 66.5° N Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 1)
Snowdrift
Clionadh Snowdrift Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.15 for 0.06 oz.) is a very light, brighter blue with pink iridescent shimmer paired with a metallic finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out without difficulty.
The texture was dense, lightly creamy, and smooth to the touch, so it was easy to work with. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand's regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I'd expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.
The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

Arctic Circle
Clionadh Arctic Circle Metallic Eyeshadow ($4.75 for 0.06 oz.) is bright, light-medium blue with cooler undertones and a metallic finish that seemed to have slightly golden shimmer to it. The consistency was dense, slightly thick but not to the point where it was difficult to pick up with a brush or did not apply evenly, smooth, and lightly creamy.
It had rich color payoff that applied evenly and stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Ursa
Clionadh Ursa Metallic Eyeshadow ($5.15 for 0.06 oz.) is a deeper, navy blue with cool, almost purplish undertones and flecks of larger, gold sparkle over a metallic finish. It had rich color payoff that applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product that diffused nicely along the edges.
The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too dense or too softly pressed in the pan. There was a bit of fallout from the larger sparkles, which did not all adhere in practice. There were signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Narwhal
Clionadh Narwhal Metallic Eyeshadow ($4.75 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep gray with cool, bluish undertones and a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had excellent pigmentation paired with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being overly thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan.
I didn’t have any issues picking it up with a typical eyeshadow brush and getting good adhesion while still being able to blend out the edges. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Sky Lights
Clionadh Sky Lights Shimmer Metallic Eyeshadow ($5.15 for 0.06 oz.) is a rich, violet purple with cooler undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture was lightly creamy, more softly-pressed than most shimmer shades I’ve tried from the brand, but not to the point where it became fussy to work with.
I would recommend using a lighter hand and pressing/patting the product on to avoid a chance for fallout, though. It had rich color payoff that went on evenly, blended out with ease, and stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading.

Permafrost
Clionadh Permafrost Duochrome Eyeshadow ($4.75 for 0.06 oz.) has a blackened base with more, medium purple shimmer that had more of a frosted finish. The texture was a bit stiffer and thinner to work with, and there seemed to be a little bit more slip, which resulted in the product not adhering as evenly as other shades I’ve tried in the range.
It worked better with a fingertip or a dampened brush. The color coverage was mostly opaque in a single layer and lasted for eight hours on me.

I’ll be the first to admit it, I’m not a blue eyeshadow person, but Ursa has my name on it! That one and Sky Lights are AMAZING shades!
Ursa is very pretty, but I don’t like the idea of big gold sparkle fallout. Narwhal is beautiful, love the name and the deep cool blue tone in the grey.
Lots to love here! Narwhal and Ursa are gorgeous. I love a good navy blue shimmer.
Snow Drift and Sky Lights are stunning! I must have them!
