Have you ever gone on a low- or no-buy?

I’ve never done a low- or no-buy full-stop for an extended period of time on all beauty products or even larger categories. There are product categories I don’t review often (if at all), and I have tampered down buying products in those areas (like nail polish) quite a bit. I’ve done low-...

Giorgio Armani Redwood (415) Lip Maestro

Giorgio Armani Redwood (415) Lip Maestro ($38.00 for 0.22 oz.) is a rich, coppery-red with warmer undertones and barely-there, ultra-fine gold pearl strewn throughout. The consistency was creamy, spreadable, and velvety--not overly "wet" in feel but dispersed well across my...

Do you time your purchases to coincide with sales?

Do you time your purchases to coincide with sales?

If I can, yes. If I’m replacing skincare or trying out new skincare, unless it’s urgent (as in I’m out and need it now), I’ll wait until there’s a sale. If I want to review a new formula that’s permanent (so not new) and has a fair number of shades, I’ll try to wait for a sale as...

Tell us what you love and hate about...

Charlotte Tilbury

I don’t find myself all that drawn to Charlotte Tilbury products off the bat; like I don’t hear about a new release and get particularly excited, but some of my very favorite products are by Charlotte Tilbury (Hollywood Flawless Filter, Filmstar Bronze & Glow, Hollywood Light Wands). The brand has a tendency to release everything in the same wheelhouse, though, and I think they could do a substantially better job releasing color cosmetics that would work on more skin tones.
