Tom Ford Courchevel Soleil Glow Stick Review & Swatches
Courchevel (04)
Tom Ford Beauty Courchevel (04) Highlighter & Blush Glow Stick ($55.00 for 0.35 oz.) features a soft, coppery highlighter and a richer, plummy blush. The highlighter had so-so coverage, while the blush was more pigmented. Both shades applied evenly, blended out without issue, and had nine-hour wear.

Courchevel (04)
LELimited Edition. $55.00.
Courchevel (Highlighter)
Courchevel (Highlighter) is a light-medium, rosy copper with a shimmering, luminous finish. It had medium coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage at most, but it would be ideal for someone who prefers sheer to medium coverage. It had a smooth, emollient consistency that was balm-like–lightly wet but not too slippery–that sat well on bare skin as well as layered on top of foundation. I didn’t have any issues with the product lifting up base products when applied with fingertips or brushes.
While the product doesn’t dry down–so it’s not transfer-resistant in the least–it had excellent wear with slight fading appearing around the nine-hour mark but still a fair amount of product visible (without patchiness) after 12 hours of wear.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to give a "luminous look year-round" with an "effortless application." It is a dual-ended, cream-based twist-up formula that gives a "perfect lustrous glow" for the highlighting side and a "pop of go-anywhere color" as the blushing side. Most shades had semi-opaque to opaque coverage, but the more emollient consistency made them spreadable and blendable. I had no trouble applying and blending out the product over bare skin, and patted over foundation (I used fingertips) worked well for me (I tried it with Too Faced Born This Way and Chanel Ultra Le Teint Velvet).
The formula is very dewy and luminous without a real dry down, so if you're someone who tends to touch their face or needs to pull off a sweater, it's not at all transfer-resistant. On me, while noticeably dewy throughout the day, the product stayed in place well for nine hours and was still mostly in place after 12 hours of wear. It can be lightly set--just barely dusted with translucent powder--and still have some of the dewiness visible. It wore similarly over foundation and did not seem to breakdown my foundation any faster.

Courchevel (Highlighter)
LELimited Edition.
Courchevel (Blush)
Courchevel (Blush) is a deeper, slightly muted, plum with subtle, cool undertones and warmer, golden pearl. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, which could easily be sheered out or built up for greater coverage depending on one’s preferences. The texture was creamy, emollient, and had a fair amount of slip, but I was impressed at how well it applied over bare skin as well as on top of foundation and base products.
It had a strong, dewy finish as it did not dry down, so it was moist to the touch and would transfer if rubbed or pressed (don’t try on clothes with this on!). The color applied evenly and yielded a dewy finish that lasted well for nine hours (started to appear slightly faded) but was still quite strong after 12 hours of wear (like 85% of color left without patchiness).

As much as I like this duo, I am more drawn towards the shades in Megeve. Or the ND cheek quad that also has a rich berry shade within it.
That said; it’s your eye look that I’m loving! I realize Soleil Neige quad only received a B, but I really love how it looks!
Are these products safe to use on the lips? I don’t see it marketed that way… but it would be nice if it was a multitasker.
Sorry, if the brand doesn’t specify, then I wouldn’t know!
I enjoy the Sunstruck Glow Stick that was previously released, and ordered Courchevel because it was a deeper shade. It looks lovely on you, Christine.
Stunning shades and a convenient applicator too.
This is gorgeous. It is unique, as compared to the dupes. I see some interesting brown in the blush that makes it quite complex. The looks (eye and cheek) are lovely, as usual. Your looks bring some intense beauty into our lives daily.
I May be confised… But is this not pretty much exactly the same product as the now discontinued QuikTrik Stick MAC produced a few years ago? (Now discontinued sadly since I liked them a lot, still do really, still have some…;)).
But this looks like exactly the same packaging, exactly the same shaping of the product. Would be interesting to compare the INCI on these two products.
Is there a difference, beyond the crazy price tags that Tom Ford always slabs on to their products?
I didn’t receive boxes for the Tom Ford Glow Sticks, but they definitely seem similar – the big difference is a lot of the MAC shades didn’t last long on me (six to eight hours) but these seem to wear much longer. My skin is less dry these days than it was years ago, though probably about the same as in 2016 I’d say…
MAC and Tom Ford have been sharing formulas more often lately (MAC’s new holiday lipsticks are very, very similar by ingredient list, to Tom Ford’s Lip Sparks – but they have similar problems/issues).
