Anastasia That Glow Glow Kit Review, Photos, Swatches
Anastasia That Glow Glow Kit
Anastasia That Glow Glow Kit ($40.00 for 1.04 oz.) includes four warm-toned shades that range from pale, buttery gold to copper. Each shade is 0.26 oz. and can be removed from the palette, if desired, but they are currently only sold together (not sure if they will eventually be available as pans only). Presently, it is exclusive to Macy’s and the brand’s website. According to Anastasia, these are supposed to be “metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity” that can also be worn on the eyes. They are softer and silkier with a more finely-milled consistency compared to the Illuminators released a couple of months ago. These also have a finer shimmer and overall sheen that is less emphasizing of pores on the skin.
Sunburst is a light, yellow gold with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that wasn’t too powdery or too firm. It applied easily to the skin without emphasizing pores but giving a high shine finish. The color lasted for eight hours before fading on me. Charlotte Tilbury Gold Bar (LE, ) is less shimmery (95% similar). Morphe Lit (P, $14.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Now's the Time (LE, $26.00) is warmer (95% similar). Golden Bronze is a medium-dark, golden bronze with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. This shade was intensely pigmented with a soft, lightly powdery consistency that blended out nicely. It didn’t emphasize pores for me, but it had a very metallic sheen, so it is by no means a subtle highlighter! On me, this highlighting bronzer wore for eight hours. Becca Topaz (P, $38.00) is darker (95% similar). Milani Glowing (P, $10.00) is cooler (90% similar). Wayne Goss Golden Glow (PiP, ) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Bubblyis a muted, light-medium golden beige with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It was slightly drier with a looser consistency, though it still blended well and luckily, it didn’t look dry or powdery applied. Again, the finish was quite metallic but did not emphasize pores (almost that “so reflective it looks smooth” effect). It lasted for seven and a half hours before fading. ColourPop Frosted (LE, $10.00) is darker (95% similar). Natasha Denona Medium-Nude (PiP, ) is more shimmery (95% similar). Cover FX Moonlight (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). Dripping in Gold is a light-medium, yellow gold with strong, warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had great color payoff with a soft, smooth, and blendable consistency. The powder was easy to apply to the skin and diffuse along the edges. It didn’t emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture, though it is a very high-shine finish where a little goes a long way. The color wore well for seven and a half hours on me. The Estee Edit 14K Glow (LE, ) is lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Boomin' (LE, $7.00) is darker (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Magic Star (LE, $45.00) is darker (95% similar). Essence Be My Sunlight (P, $4.49) is less shimmery (95% similar). Dior #003 (DC, $56.00) is more shimmery, cooler (95% similar). So pretty! But I’ve said it before, since I don’t highlight much I only have a few glow products in my stash and I don’t really feel to need to expand my collection.
Makes sense to me!
It looks like a very pretty set of highlighters for people with medium to deep skin with warm undertones.
I think it would work well on those skin tones for sure!
I think I made the right choice with Gleam… not really tempted by this one!
Yay!
What a lovely palette, and not too expensive. I’ve the Gwen Stefani palette so I’ll pass, but can see this selling out quickly.
Happy to hear you’re still enjoying your Gwen Stefani blush palette, Claire!
I like two from this one and two from the other one, sigh. Guess I’ll be hoping they release individually, idk though. I also heard there is a third kit coming, Sun Glow or something?
Interesting! I wonder what that will look like.
I wasn’t even interested in this product, and now not only do I have to buy it, I also have to buy the eye shadows! Stunning, Christine.
lol! Thank you, Tammy!
I ordered it from Macy’s right after I saw your post. It was the yellow/gold hues that really caught my eye. So unique.
These are pretty, but I’m more intrigued by the unique colors of the Looxi ones
Gotcha 🙂
Too warm for me!
Totally hear you, Erin! It is very warm-toned.
Gorgeous, but I think too dark for the likes of me. It’s nice ABH came out with two colorways for this.
It is nice! I do wish the other one (while lovely) was cooler in comparison.
I think these are way too warm for me. They do look gorgeous on your skin tone, Christine.
I’m waiting for the Gwen Stefani blush-palette to reach the local UD counters. I’m also really interested in some of the Looxie highlighters.
Yes, this is definitely a super warm-toned palette!
These are just gorgeous shades and for someone who is just starting to use highlighters, given you are a shade match, these would be perfect. However I hope ABH is putting out a version for those with darker complexions.
I hope they’ll make these available as singles, too!
Hi Christine, love your reviews!. I was wondering what Make Up For Ever Ultra HD shade do you wear? Thank you!!
Y315 Sand
It sure has that JLo glow factor!!! Simply gorgeous shades! Not sure I need this though, because I already have MAC Shaft Of Gold, CP Butterfly Beach and similar shades in addition to these…..hmmmm?
You are probably covered, Nancy 😉
Hey Christine, i have owned both That Glow and Gleam, but I’m now eyeing for ABH illuminator in Riviera. Do you think it’s necessary to add Riviera also? You think this color is dupeable in That Glow or Gleam ?
I don’t think it’s necessary, but I don’t think either of the palettes dupe it!
Beautiful highlighters, but for medium to dark skin tones only? Is there also one for lighter skin tones?
These could be used on all skin tones, depending on how you apply. Obviously some shades are more like highlighting blushes/bronzers, though!
Does anyone know if this is available in Canada? I need this in my life.
I am not sure!
I’m up to my ears in highlighters right now but I still want this lol. All of the shades are gorgeous! I can’t wait for this to hit Ulta so I can at least use my employee discount and feel a little better about buying yet another highlighter lol
Aren’t we all 😉
Really like these colors. All look great on you. I’m cautiously optimistic that I might be able to wear them too.
Thank you Susan! Hope you can try it.
Which one did you prefer, gleam or that glow?
Gleam is more unique to me! 🙂
How would you say Golden Bronze compares to Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow? Which one’s lighter and which one’s darker?
Also, would you say Dripping in Gold is a dupe for Oh Darling? 🙂 These are stunning, wish they weren’t LE 🙁

I can’t decide between this Glow kit and Becca Champagne Pop. i’m asian, tan with a bit yellowish. What do you think?
I think either will suit you, but the kit will be more versatile, since it has four shades.
Thank you for your reply! Xx
