Sephora 5-0 Grind, It's Electric Lipstories Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
5-0 Grind (56)
Sephora 5-0 (56) Grind Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, periwinkle blue with strong, cool undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied decently but had room for improvement–there was slight unevenness along the edges, especially along my lip lines. I also had product sink into my lip lines enough that it was noticeable in person. The lipstick had a creamy, smooth consistency that didn’t feel overly emollient, so it didn’t slide around while worn. It stayed on well for four hours on me and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

PPermanent. $8.00.
It's Electric (57)
Sephora It’s Electric (57) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep, eggplant purple base with warmer undertones and cooler purple and violet shimmer. It had an emollient consistency that felt a little slippery as it glided across my lips, and while it didn’t sink too noticeably into my lip lines, it was uneven. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that wasn’t buildable, and it was the type of product that I’d recommend wearing over a lip liner to help minimize the patchiness and reduce the slip. This shade lasted well for three and a half hours but sank more and more into my lip lines over time. On the upside, it was comfortable to wear and lightly moisturizing over time.

Oy vey. These are awful. I’m really surprised given how lovely the first Lip Stories Lipsticks applied for the most part. These are tragic.
As disappointing as the grades are, they’re pretty typical for these sorts of shades. I’m still interested in both. I could work with them, and they’re only $8.
It’s Electric should be easier to fix (liner or another lipstick underneath); let me know if you end up trying 5-0 Grind and how you get it to perfection!
Will do!
Unique looking shades, but pretty poor ratings.
Hmm thats a little sad , I really liked Its Electric , maybe it would be best with a lip liner ? As for 5-0 Grind I may stick with Fenty .
I loved the swatches of It’s Electric, what a pity it’s such a disappointing one on the lips. I eat lipsticks rather quickly and prefer not having to use a lip liner all over the lips, I guess I’m a bit lazy 🙂
