Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.

The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.

This shade is just so pretty! Seriously. I'm a fan of the Lipstories formula in general, but this tops out the collection. It's a plummy brown, and I always love a plummy brown. But this is *different* from the others, with its gold and copper shimmer. It's sparkly but still a daytime-friendly shade, shimmery in a way that doesnt over-emphasize texture. It's seriously just *really pretty.* And a great price. And comfortable, but not greasy or too balmy. It's probably the perfect lipstick, I'd argue! I'm not even a Libra and I love it!

I really enjoy using this product. I think the lipsticks in this line look completely different on different skin tones because this color looks like a dark blue almost black color on me (with no purple at all). You kind of have to tug a little to get it to apply well. It is pretty long lasting and it lasts a whole day without eating.

although i would like to point out that it is not a cream finish the #matte being right there in the picture it is a gorgeous creamy super pigmented formula with a matte finish that is typically expected of solid lipsticks. it is not drying at all, nor is it in any way patchy and it is a beautiful, beautiful shade that is totally worth its under-ten-dollars price tag. the packaging is also very environment-friendly and i love how lightweight and easy to carry around it is. i also find that it stayed on my lips for about two hours without having to reapply it but it does tend to wear off while eating.

Just got this lipstick today, and I was a little disappointed with the colour. It is significantly more purple than it looks in photos (I took some myself too). Berry to plum would more accurately describe it than burgundy. Otherwise the finish is lovely and creamy. Feels very nice to wear and surprisingly the colour didn't seem to be going everywhere. I will seriously consider buying from this collection again, only the colour was a letdown. It does look good in photos though.
