Maybelline Smoked Silver Color Sensational Matte Metallics Lipstick ($7.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark purple with more neutral undertones paired with a metallic shimmer. It had medium pigmentation, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage, but I could not get it to be fully opaque on me. The lipstick felt waxy going on, so there was never any tugging, and it was thinner without clinging to the lips uncomfortably. It did not apply evenly, and it was hard to get the shimmer to distribute evenly--this one would need a primer or lip liner underneath it to work well. This shade wore for just over four and a half hours on me with a bit of color that had pulled into my lip lines over time. The formula was neither drying nor moisturizing.
