Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette
Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette ($49.00 for 0.54 oz.) includes 18 eyeshadows inspired by peach (the fruit!). There are winners and losers in the palette; most of the mattes were soft enough that they kicked up a lot of excess and sheered out on the lid, while the more matte shades with sparkle didn’t have much sparkle translate. There were two major duds in the palettes (both purples–wasn’t totally surprised), and then in general, Too Faced eyeshadow formula is one that really requires a primer for pigmentation, blendability, and longevity. If you use primer and don’t already have a slew of go-to warm neutrals to go to, you might still consider it. It has a sweet, peachy scent that I can smell with the palette closed (but in the same room), but I don’t notice any lingering scent when the eyeshadows are applied.

Just Peachy is a medium, rosy pink with warm undertones and a gold, shimmered finish. It had semi-opaque coverage, but the texture was very dusty and prone to sheering out. Charmed, I’m Sure is a muted, medium-dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had a soft, blendable consistency but ran a little dry and powdery, so it would perform better over a primer than bare skin, as it was harder to get even coverage without a base. Nectar is a light-medium, golden yellow with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. It had good pigmentation, though the more loosely-packed texture meant it was easily sheered out, which was great for blending, but less ideal if you wanted it to really pop. Puree is a muted, medium caramel-brown with warm, reddish tones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque coverage with a firmer texture in the pan–noticeably so compared to other shades–and while it wasn’t powdery or dusty like other mattes (which often make them easier to blend out), this was harder to apply or diffuse along the edges. It lasted for seven hours before fading. ColourPop My Type (PiP, $4.50) is cooler (95% similar). Viseart Montaigne (Golden Hour) (PiP, ) is darker (95% similar). Viseart Nutmeg (Warm Mattes #10) (P, ) is more muted (95% similar). Becca Ombre Rouge #4 (PiP, ) is darker (95% similar). Viseart Warm Mattes #9 (PiP, ) is cooler (95% similar). Summer Yum is a medium-dark, red-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff with a very smooth, finely-milled consistency that applied well and blended out easily. Despite being powdery, it didn’t seem to sheer out and didn’t give me problems during application–just make sure to tap off excess to avoid fall out. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me. Zoeva Cheap Bar (PiP, ) is lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Top Notch (P, $4.50) is warmer (95% similar). Anastasia Brick (P, $12.00) is lighter, warmer (95% similar). Talk Derby to Me is a blackened purple with a satin sheen and fine sparkle. It had semi-sheer pigmentation with a drier, dustier texture that was hard to work with. It was best applied in thin layers, built-up, and blended with a clean brush to minimize patchiness. It started to fade after seven hours of wear. Tarte Play Nice (LE, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Make Up For Ever D830 Black Rose (P, $17.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Exotic Purple (LE, $17.00) is lighter (90% similar). Thanks for the review! I almost bought this palette-then saw your swatches and realized how many dupes I have in my collection!!! You’re awesome!
No problem, Emily!
I’m a huge Too Faced fan, but this palette is one of their most disappointing releases in my opinion. Most of the colors are muted and boring, the quality is all over the place, and overall the only shade I’d like to own is Luscious. An easy pass for me.
If you only like one shade, definitely a skip!
Well I was going to buy this for the peach shades but being that they are less than good I’ll pass, thank you for saving me the 70$ and frustration
Happy to help, Myriah!
I’m really sad about the quality of the actually peach shades in this palette. >_< I was excited for those.
I know right? What’s the point of a peach pallete if the peach shades don’t even preform well :\
Those are the only ones I really really wanted. Womp, womp!
Same! The colors looked so pretty in the photos, it’s a shame they perform so badly.
3 D’s and 2 F’s?? Heck no. I will take my $49 elsewhere (probably Sephora LOL)
I wish the duds weren’t such… duds 🙁
Thanks for the great review, Christine! You just saved me $49 and a bunch of hassle trying to get this.
Always happy to save money 😉
Thanks for the quick turnaround on the review! 🙂
I’m glad I held off on purchasing, because this is going to be a pass for me. The only real appeal were those peach shades and the olive one, and too see that nearly all the peach shadows were a disappointment just does not justify the price. I already own the original Chocolate Bar and the Bon Bons, and those combined satisfy pretty much all my neutral related needs.
I really think you are covered between those two palettes, Megan!
I was hoping for a better grade. I really wanted the sparkly peach shades to perform well. I still want it, but I’m not going to be grief-stricken if I can’t get my hands on it. Thank goodness for primer and bases.
I always find it interesting how some of the darker mattes were decent on bare skin but the lighter ones, nope!
Light mattes can often be chalky across brands. So irritating! I earned a $25 Macy’s gift ceritificate, so I think I’m going to wait till Macy’s get’s this tomorrow. Then I won’t be shelling out so much out of pocket It’s so cute I still want it for my collection.
The good news – this is $49 I won’t be spending. Christine, you’re helping me get my no buy off to a good start!
The bad news – Too Faced has finally managed to let me down! Every single one of my favorite shades in this palette performed horribly, and I can dupe most of the rest. ?
Oh no! 🙁
I find that the most interesting/unique shades are the worst performing ?
I really like the looks you created, specially the second one, but I will pass on this product. I think the idea of a peach leaning shadows was interesting, but not for a 18-pan palette full of warm neutrals. For when a cool-toned palette like violet chocolate bare or cloudy cocoa?
I’m sure they will find a way to turn a “cool” palette into a mostly warm palette 🙁
Thank you so much for this review! I’m sure it was eagerly anticipated by a lot of us! It’s a shame that some of the peach shades weren’t the greatest (especially since this is a peach-themed palette).
Happy to get it up for you all!
This was a pass for me. Not sure what they hype is about…..because of the peach scent?
I think Too Faced has been having a moment – a surge of popularity – and I do think some find the concept cute!
Once again, the colors look great on you so I am sure I will get good results. I am bummed that colors I like the most, have the lowest ratings. I hope it’s worth the time I put in trying to get this palette. ?
Good luck getting the palette, Jeanine Marie!
I managed to get one at HSN but have to wait a month for it to arrive.
I appreciate your honest reviews ??
It shouldn’t be too difficult to get your hands on one if you want it. I was able to add it to my bag on Ulta’s website for several hours after it went on sale. Unless I’m mistaken, it goes up on Sephora’s website on the 29th, and it should be in stores at both Ulta and Sephora in April. I wouldn’t recommend paying the exorbitant prices you’ll find on ebay right now where people bought the palette from HSN and Too Faced for the purpose of reselling while it was OOS.
Yeah, I wasn’t expecting a great score based on initial swatches. And it’s sad how this is a peach palette, but 3 of the 4 peach colors didn’t score well (D, F, D+) and what’s up with those awful throw-away purples (D/F)???? It’s too bad, as I do like the color scheme, surprisingly enough. But with 5 D/F (out of 18 shades), no way is this palette worth $49! I think Too Faced should’ve spent less time hyping and teasing us, and more time perfecting the formula.
There were some really major misses in the palette, unfortunately! 🙁
You created some beautiful looks with this palette. I am definitely going to buy this palette REALLY soon! Thank you for the swatches!
No problem, Aprill! 🙂 Enjoy!
Easy pass for me. Very cute, but I feel like I could easily make a custom peach palette with MAC or MUG. That’s definitely on my list, and it won’t have a peach smell to it, hehe.
You definitely could make a custom one!
Great idea!
Those $6 pans of Mac’s have me tempted to make a little PB&J palette of my own. I really prefer that concept (a very warm brown palette) than the Sweet Peach. Though, I am not really tempted to buy either from Too Faced.
oh I LOVE the idea of a custom PB&J palette. though, I am VERY tempted by the actual PB&J palette so that might not even be necessary to do custom for me.
The actual Too Faced PB&J palette is AMAZING. I love it to death. It smells like PB cups and blends beautifully!
The poor performance is a real shame, because many of the colors are so pretty, even if they’re not the colors I most like to wear. This is strange. Too Faced knows how to do better than this. Well, even in this palette, some of the shadows performed well! This is the kind of unevenness you see in their holiday palettes… I guess this one is LE… I’m not sure they put as much effort into their LE palettes…
I think this one had more lighter mattes/pastel-ish shades, which are always troublesome, and then they went with two more matte purples… also troublesome shades. 🙁
maybe that’s it, I don’t always think about pastel mattes being troublesome to do, since I don’t use them much (prefer shiny pale colors on myself).
I managed to snag this palette in the (messy) TooFaced website release and cannot wait for it to arrive. I don’t even mind that the shades aren’t all hits – the shade selection alone I’m in love with!
Enjoy, Amanda! Keep us posted on how it works out for you 🙂
Christine your work are amazing!!!! Thanks for do this for us, I’m from Guadalajara México and some times ( almost always ) it’s hard find this products, because when arrived have like 5 or 6 months and i like have the new things, we have 2 sephora stores in mi city, but we don’t have Ulta, or others stores for get it, Thanks again form let me lear make up and english with you!
God bless you
Xoxo
Thank you so much for your readership, Guille 🙂
Thanks for this. Now I don’t feel so bad that I’m 0 for 4 getting this. Missed out both times at toofaced.com, missed HSN, and then missed Ulta. Not too mention I think it’s funny that the actual peach colors are the colors that got the worst grades! Now, I’m not going to stress myself for missing it.
Oh no! 🙁 That is so frustrating! I missed it on Too Faced’s website when it launched, but I managed to get through when they restocked via my phone (but it would NOT go through on desktop at all).
I have to leave this comment, thank you so much for your honesty. So many YouTubers hyped this up and swatches of some shades looked richer in promo photos – I almost got pulled in by the pretty packaging, scent, those cute names and the fact that it sold out twice on their website, but two F’s do not justify the Canadian price for this palette for me. I so appreciate your time and realness! I’ll be looking for the dupes for shades I want.
Of course, Areej! 🙂 I’m happy I could help.
You CANNOT trust Youtubers!! You can only, literally only, trust temptalia
So true!
There is a You Tuber that is honest in her reviews, her name is Emilynoel83 (Beauty Broadcast). Outside of Emily and Christine I agree.
I love Emily, she is the absolute BEST!!! Sorry I have this palette and I LOVE IT!! There are so many different looks you can create and I think the color payoff is amazing. Sorry you guys, but I think if you could have gotten this palette, you would have been happy with it. I also love the Bon Bon Palette.
I agree though it sucks that it didn’t work for some people but it’s worked extremely well for me including the dud shades.. this is my first too faced palette so I was looking for excuses to not buy any more haha but its worked brilliantly for me!
I was totally like “i dont even like this” Then I saw your swatches. >.< Now I have to remind myself that I don't need this. 😉
lol!
What a pity these performed so badly ): Was really looking forward to it, guess I’ll have to look elsewhere for some nice peachy-pink warm shades.
I wish the peaches did better (at the very least!).
cute but too gimmicky for me. While I won’t avoid makeup just because it has fragrance, I really don’t need to smell peaches, chocolate, peanut butter in my makeup–as much as I like each of those flavors. I’d rather pay more for less product, if the quality is there … speaking of which, I hope that you’ll be reviewing the Viseart Theory palettes if/when you get them! Not quite the same, but Lance has a peachy palette that’s excellent (but $50 or so and only 5 shades)
auto correct (!)–I meant to write Lancome, not “Lance”
Do you remember which Lancome palette that is, Lara?
I want to say the 5 color design coral crush but not sure b/c it’s in another place/not with me. But I can’t imagine too many people wanting to pay $50 for 5 colors in a little pan anyway
Ooh… Glad I waited to get it from Sephora in hopes you’d have a review up first. Thank you for saving me $49. With that many duds, I’ll definitely be passing.
Happy to help, Jen!
It’s too bad that the peach shades are some of the worst performers. I was tempted to get this palette, because the shades are a bit more unique than their Chocolate series, but if the very shades that make it interesting actually suck, then there’s really no point in buying it…
I was disappointed that a lot of the more matte shades were hard to use! I think a good primer would help the blending, and something like NYX Milk would definitely help the payoff for some.
Pass! I was just browsing Ulta and this is up on there, for those who want it. I happily kept it clear of my cart. This review cemented my decision and disinterest. Clearly an overyhyped product of middling quality.
Can you actually add it to cart? It’s said “add to cart” for awhile, but it will tell you it’s sold out if you click it.
All the colors I want from this palette are misses! Darn. Thanks for saving me the disappointment if I had bought it!
Oh no 🙁
While I truly feel sad for those who have been anxiously awaiting and wanting this palette, I also feel a weird sense of relief. Basically for 2 reasons: I am severely allergic to one of the ingredients common to ALL of Too Faced “food themed” palettes, sodium saccharin, and secondly, this palette just isn’t all that quality wise.
Thankful for the fact that I already own dupes galore for most of the shades, with MAC Coral, ATG, and either Expensive Pink or Paradisco as “to gets”!
But really, TF really COULD have done a way better job!
Expensive Pink has my vote 😉
What a roller coaster quality wise! I definitely don’t need this. Thanks for the review!
No problem!
Frankly I don’t get all the excitement for this palette. Every single color is dupable with better options from Colourpop, Mac, MUG, MUFE, etc. The brown shades are nearly identical to the peanut butter palette.
They are definitely dupable colors! I can see why the color combination is appealing to many. It’s a good price for the amount you get – better than MAC/MUG/MUFE pricing for palettes, which I’m sure is why many are interested in it!
I just don’t understand how this got so much attention and how every person that was sent one for PR gave it such awesome reviews. This palette was so hyped up and I’m sure you know the craziness associated with getting one. When you look at swatches from other people every single color looked amazing. I guess photoshop will fix anything? Clearly this is not winning the palette of the year award. I was really surprised to see how dupable the colors are. Every shade that I “love” I have a dupe for, many of them I have several. I guess I should have been more patient and waited for you because I already ordered it and it will be here tomorrow. I’m at least going to open it and smell it before I return it lol.
It’s very dupable for sure! Some of the shades are nice, but there were some major duds (as opposed to so-so shades).
I know many people are passing on this palette (definitely some quality issues on certain shades) but for those whom still want it, it is available on Ulta right now. I purchased mine in the middle of the night two days ago, and it’s still available. I guess I’ll see when mine arrives if I’ll be returning it. Thanks for the excellent review as always Christine!
Happy Easter to those whom celebrate it! ??
It’s actually not available – it says add to cart, but if you click the button, it tells you that it is out of stock! 🙁
Oh no! I didn’t mean to give out false information! Sorry everyone!
No worries!! I thought the same until I clicked it after someone told me it was sold out, lol!
Thanks for the review, good thing I didn’t buy this already. To be honest I was really hoping this palette would have different colors in it. I feel like every time TF releases a palette half of it is always browns and golds. It’s getting boring. I don’t want to buy the same colors over and over again.
I know what you mean! These are definitely similar to shades TF has done in the past with a couple of exceptions.
I’m glad I held off on getting this palette! “Bless Her Heart” has been calling my name for a while, but it looks like I have dupes in my collection for 60% of Sweet Peach and they’re all better performing too. I’ve been able to dupe the rest with a quick hop onto Makeup Geek’s website. I think I can dupe Bless Her Heart pretty close to perfect with a mix of MUG Charmed and High Tea! Thanks for your help, Christine!
I bet Charmed will get you very close!
I don’t understand what’s the big deal about this palette. I mean, it’s a pretty palette, but it’s nothing spectacular. When it was available online you can read lots and lots of tweets of girls “crying” because they can’t afford it. I think Too Faced has good products, but it’s hype is becoming ridiculous.
Hopefully they’ll replenish stock, but sometimes brands release more limited quantities to build up hype (which works for a long while – look at MAC and how long it has taken before people have given up trying to snag LE things!).
Thank you so much for the review – it must have taken you a very long time.
This palette does not contain the sorts of colours I would wear: too peachy/orange for me. But I can see how lovers of these colours would be a bit disappointed in the hit and miss nature of the quality of the eye shadows.
By the way Christine – I am still not getting your blog into my inbox. Thank you for trying. I have checked my Junk mail and it isn’t in there either.
Hey Genevieve,
So I checked, and your email address does show up on the list of subscribers! It shows that the last newsletter was sent 3/27, Sunday 5:03pm (I believe that’s PST time) and it was opened on 3/28, Monday, at 12:52am.
Here’s the subject line of the last newsletter: Temptalia: Which products(s) do you have a love/hate relationship with and why?
There’s an earthy quality to the color scheme, and it seems like warmer, neutral palettes still resonate with buyers!
I really thought I was going to pass on this, mostly because of the scent, but I’m such a sucker for peachy colours! I think I can make this palette work for me. I hope so because I’m pretty sure I’m getting it. ?
By the way, the second look you did is gorgeous!
Enjoy, Gillian! 🙂 Keep me posted!!
Will do. It’s not out over here yet and it’s sold out everywhere anyway by the looks of things. I’ll just need to be patient! ?
Damn! I was so excited about this palette! I’m probably still going to buy it just because I loveeeeeee the colors but damn I’m a little disappointed.
Use a good primer and/or white base 🙂 Then you should be good to go!
Thanks for reviewing this before it came back into stock. I can see where a lot of people will be turned off now. I’m really disappointed that they couldn’t get the purples decent. I really don’t get it. But, I’m still in. I’m fine with a primer. But, I’m not going to lose sleep on this one anymore.
I hope you can get it when it comes back in stock, Nicole! 🙂
So sad that candied peach was a dud…. Such a let down since I thought this would be the star of this palette. ? Passing on this. So glad I didn’t buy into the hype. Thanks for the in-depth review, Christine! ?
No problem, Happy!
So, there were 2 or 3 shadows here that I really liked – especially Bless Her Heart and Luscious and – big surprise – I have multiple dupes for all the ones I liked. And I can’t help wondering why it is so difficult to get a good purple shadow. Talk Derby to Me looks so much better than Delectable but that’s damning with faint praise.
I knew you’d like Bless Her Heart, but I also knew you’d have dupes 😉
I’m wondering if I’m getting to the point – perish the thought – that I don’t need to purchase another eyeshadow for the rest of my life because I’ve got all the colours of the rainbow except those that I don’t like/feel don’t flatter me. I do keep trying to tell myself that but it only seems to work for the short term.
Christine, I’ve been meaning to ask for ages and always forget – why do some our names/handles appear in pink while others are in black/grey and not “click-able”? I’m just curious and not being a tech type person, I figured I’d ask.
If you’re logged in while commenting, it would make your name clickable to your MyTemptalia profile!
I know you have a user name here, so if you are logged in while commenting, do let me know so we can take a look into it.
I am logged in and my name is both pink and “clickable”. I just wondered why some others weren’t. I also wonder why sometimes I find myself logged out without having done anything but that’s something that happens on all sorts of sites, not just this one.
There are some definite misses in there, what a pity. I do like the overall color palette though. I just wish the quality was better and more consistent.
Me too!
Thanks for the awesome and thorough review Christine! I almost bought this palette on the release date, but my gut told me to wait for your review and get it at sephora if I still wanted it. So glad because you confirmed my hesitation. I have dupes for all the shades and given the mediocre quality of the palette I’m gonna pass. Thanks again for all your hard work and honest reviews. I know that yours is the opinion I can trust and rely on. You’ve never steered me wrong.
Thank you so much, Laurie! 🙂
It’s good to see that I have some dupes for some of the shades, as I’m not impressed with TF’s teasing and limited releases. And I am so sad that some have been immediately put on Ebay, I mean, WTAF?! I like peach shades but not enough to buy this.
I really hope that TF doesn’t make a habit of releasing a small quantity, then selling out, then releasing another small quantity, selling out. :/
Just wondering why you separate the descriptions of each shade from the individual scores? I think it would flow better if the score was underneath each description. I have to keep going up and down to check the score vs the description and I get confused.
Does anyone else feel like that?
It doesn’t, personally, make sense to me break up the flow of the written review when the ratings are a summary – the summary is usually at the beginning (as an abstract) or the end (this is usually how I have seen ratings). We have chosen to put them at the end because too often someone will look at the ratings and ignore the review, especially if they are landing on the page for the first time. I want to try encourage reading the review.
Thanks for the feedback! I don’t think this is a change we would make, but I will certainly keep it in mind.
Fair enough! Thanks for explaining. 🙂
I’m not sure about this palette now!
Here’s how I feel like I’d think about buying a palette (or not) if I was a regular consumer (you know, not buying to review)…
1.) How many dupes do I already have? Do I reach for those often or rarely? If often, would I want them all in a single palette?
2.) Do I use palettes? Do I use them alone or with a lot of other products?
3.) If there are any misses, do I care? Are they shades I’d use often? (Like in this palette, do you prefer your darker shades to be buildable anyway? then them being sheerer isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker) Can I solve the issues (do I want to take that extra step?)?
Wow – you make so many good points. Thanks for clarifying it for me.
Sometimes, I find I just have to see a palette or a product in person before I make a final decision… And I don’t think I will get a chance to do that with this one because it will be so popular here in Aus when it is released! It might sell out first day..
The ones I most wanted received an F. Thank you for saving me $49. Happy Easter!
Aww 🙁
This was a really odd review for me. I use a primer with every eyeshadow I own, so making it sound like a deal breaker if you don’t use one with this palette struck me as odd. The swatches didn’t look sheer to me anyway, but I assume a primer would help with those that are. It read like you didn’t want to like the palette, if that makes sense.
I actually liked it, but there were some really hard misses, not just so-so shades. To be clear, though, I do not test eyeshadows with primer when they say they are long-wearing – and Too Faced’s eyeshadow formula is noticeably improved with primer across the board. For the most part, eyeshadow is still pigmented and applies well, but it may not last quite as long without primer in my experience.
Thank you so much for this review!
No problem, Alicia!
I really like this palette-including all the shades that got Ds and Fs but I never use eyeshadow without primer and they worked great for me and really suit my skin tone.
That’s great, Helen! What primer do you recommend or did you use with it?
Hi Christine!
I tried it with both the Too Faced Shadow insurance primer and Urban Decay Anti-Aging-I prefer the UD Anti-Aging for its more hydrating formula in general and I found it worked best with this palette given the tendency for some of the shadows to be a bit on the drier side.
Your review reminds me why I don’t buy palettes. Too poor performing and nothing special colors you already have many times over. Just shows you how much of it is hype and cutesy packaging and not worth. I’ll just stick to the better quality stuff I already own!
‘Tis true. One thing I have learned is that it is hard to make a palette A+++ because there are too many variables. There are usually at least one or two duds!
Wow! you just saved me $50 Christine! Thank you so much for the review and swatches. The main sellers for this palette were the peachy shades and they were under performers. Man what a shame!
I wish they were a bit better – not so many full-on misses!
I coincidentally stumbled onto the Ulta site at midnight on the day this palette was supposed to drop, so of COURSE I gave in and bought it- it felt like I had to since I lucked out so much. Sad to see that the purples and some of the title “peach” shades are so disappointing, but still excited for this palette! The colors are so gorgeous and nothing like the ones I have! I’ve recently been trying to be more cruelty-free with my makeup, so this is a pretty big eyeshadow purchase!
I think the color scheme is pretty, and they shades work together 🙂 Use your best primer with it, and I think you will enjoy yours, Kayleigh! Keep me posted.
Well that’s disappointing. The only colors I was really interested in in this palette all performed poorly. Granted, I probably have dupes of most of these in my collection, but I really liked the idea of all the colors in one palette. Bummed!
Aww! 🙁
Thanks for saving me a bunch of money, Christine! I’m actually really surprised that the grade was still a B after all those D and F scores. Lol.
By the way, I got my earrings from Angela and they are gorgeous! I’m working on my custom order now. 😀
It is interesting how the average ends up working out! Like testing it, it felt decent, but when they were bad, they were REALLY bad, which dragged down the palette as a whole.
Yay! What kind of custom piece are you going for?
Yeah, considering I only really liked the peach colors, your review convinced me I need to go for some Colourpop singles instead. 🙂
So! I’m loving bold colors these days (and especially for summer), and I was talking to her about a two-pair set of the cluster dangle earrings. I like the idea of bright colors that fade to black and I thought some fiery orange to deep red to black cluster earrings would be beautiful. Then I thought of doing the same with some bright aqua to a deep blue to black would make a nice compliment to those–sort of a fire and water theme.
I was also thinking about a living room theme I once had of sherbet-orange walls with red and purple accents. They’re surprisingly striking colors together, so I’m considering that for a pair down the line. 😀
Buying this purely as my palette drawer isn’t stuffed enough already…
Enjoy, Sophie 🙂
Honestly, I’m tired of seeing eyeshadow palettes. Why can’t someone release a collection of eyeshadow singles in a spring collection (or fall, etc. lol) with just as many choices as a palette offers. I’m done buying palettes because I spend $$$ and end up using 2 or 3 shades out of it. The last palette I bought was UD Naked Smokey and I use the same 2 eyeshadows every day. I don’t touch the others because the colors either aren’t flattering on me or they don’t blend well. I would love to see Dior or Chanel come out with a large collection of eyeshadow singles. It’s way overdue.
I’m guessing it can get more expensive? I am thinking that trying to guess and stock inventory might be why. It also seems like palettes sell well, even if they’re dupable/another warm neutral palette – they still seem to fly off the shelves.
All the colors I had my eye on got bad grades! haha!!! Strong pass for me…
Oh no 🙁
I am so glad I held off on buying this. I thought it was love at first sight because my favorite colors to wear on my eyes are pinks, corals, peaches, oranges, etc. The thought of entire palette of those colors (or mostly those colors) made me so happy but…this is a heart breaker. </3 I was hoping this would look like a blush palette, but for the eyes. Every time I see a blush palette I think, I wish someone would make that into an eyeshadow palette. I was so excited for this and my favorite shades, Just Peachy and Candied Peach got a D and an F. I would have been beyond disappointed if I bought this and those shades didn't perform. Thank you so much for this review! You saved me!
I adore Too Faced but…this palette is a pass for me. </3
Also… What exactly makes this smell like peaches? I tried my best to read the ingredients and I did see "Prunus Persica (Peach) Extract" BUT I also saw "Fragrance/Parfum" listed which is way too vague for someone like me with serious perfume allergies. Do you happen to know any more specific information regarding the scent?
I can honestly say this is the first Too Faced Palette I have though good in concept yuck in performance. Some of those colors are awful and it looks so washed out to me. I have the Original Chocolate Bar, the Semi Sweet and the Bon Bons between those three I can easily mix it up to achieve those colors. Such a shame as I really wanted a fun summer palette to play with this year. Thanks for the review and saving me my $49!
The colors seem to work well together! I wish some of the mattes weren’t quite so below-average for performance!
I wasn’t all that interested to begin with – still stinging from the disappointing Bon Bons palette. But, your review seals it – one less person in line for this.
Hopefully, they will take a page from their new BFF Kat Von D and just pull it if the quality isn’t there.
Wow, thanks for the review, I’m definitely going to pass on this one now. =( I still wish you could buy singles… I’d like Georgia.
Seriously the best and most helpful blog I have found for reviews. You are so detailed and I love how you provide multiple dupes. I can tell you spent a lot of time putting this together! Thank you for the information!
I have the palette, candid peach and Georgia are 2 of the best shadows in my opinion, overall i like the palette more than the naked 2, I respect your expertise, but I would recommend people to look at other opinions and reviews as well.
Thank you for your dupes Christine! I got my Inglot and MUFE peach shades and wore them today! They’ve lasted ALL day. Perfect,. Your honesty is much appreciated!
No problem, Kerrie! 🙂
After this review, I will definitely be passing. I really had high hopes but to me, this is just yet ANOTHER boring neutrals palette that companies keep putting out, and this one doesn’t have a ton of high performers to justify the price. Thanks Christine!
No problem, Lindsay 🙂
Thanks for giving such an in depth review! I’m honestly on the fence about it. I’ve been stalking it everywhere trying to get it, and only just succeeded when they restocked it on sephora a few hours ago. I’m glad I didn’t get the earlier releases though, because Sephora will enable me to return it if I really hate it… I get the impression this pallete eyeshadows are a love it or hate it, but I’m disappointed that the purples are duds. Though, there are a lot of colors that I adore, so hopefully those will make it worth while 🙂
I think it may come down to how you use your products – do you use primer, do you prefer darker shades that build up vs. ultra intense from the get go, are you drier or more oily, etc. 🙂
Hi Christine!
I just wanted to come back here because I had commented initially saying I LOVED the palette… even the D and F shades-that time I had only used it about twice and had used it both times with UD Anti-Aging Primer. I did a look earlier this week with UD Enigma and while I really love how the came out, most of the shades I used were very difficult to work with and not fun to blend out. I was so disappointed with Just Peachy, I almost cried. I’m even sadder to see there are no exact dupes for the shade.
I also used all the purples in one look, and while I didn’t hate it, it was really difficult to work with and left my eyelids feeling kind of sore because they were so dry. I think the purples would perform better over a black sticky base.
I just wanted to come back and mention this because I thought I loved the palette initially and now I am left with mixed feelings. I still love the color scheme and think Too Faced did an excellent job with mixing neutrals and some more interesting shades, but It definitely didn’t meet expectations-especially after Chocolate Bon-Bons being much more user friendly.
As always, thanks for your awesome review!
Thanks for the update, Helen! 🙂
Do you think some of the under-performance it’s because you used it with Enigma instead of the Anti-Aging Primer?
A lot of what you mentioned in your recent look is what I experienced with some of the darker/more matte shades, unfortunately 🙁 The colors work well together, and I liked the concept overall, but their other palettes have been easier to use, I think!
Georgia & Candied Peach are two of my favorites in this Pallette. I totally agree on those dark purple shades…but a few other grades…I’m very shocked! I normally am highly in agreement with your grades.
I got so riled up about this palette. Then they sold out online instantly. Also Ulta released them early, without anyone having a clue. I was so upset. Well seeing the review and seeing that I have dupes for the peach shades, that’s what I was most interested in. I have the MUFE in Coral and the Buxom one.
I feel Too Faced really missed the mark on this one. It’s a peach palette and there are only 3 peach shades ? Am I the only one who finds this odd?
I have both Chocolate bar palettes, the Bon Bon palette and many other 9 pan ones and the PB&J. I think I’m good . I just ordered the MUFE Holiday 15 pan palette and can’t wait to get it. I can’t believe I missed out on it when it came out!
As alway’s, thanks for the lovely review
I finally got this palette and took it home Friday. I went to use it this morning and NOTHING! I could not come up with a look with it. The colors are just….not blah but I can’t put my finger on it. I do have similar shades already in my stash and I picked another warm toned palette that I’m loving. I don’t know if I’m going to keep this one.
I have been driving myself crazy trying to get my hands on this palette and was very disappointed to think I might miss out on it. However, after reading your comprehensive review, my disappointment has been replaced with relief that I didn’t waste $$ on this palette. Thank you!!!
Has this palette completely sold out with no restocks? It’s just disappeared off the internet. Anyone have any info on this?
I’m surprised you didn’t like candied peach its one of my favorite colors in the pallete i used it with primer and it performed beautifully and was so pigmented and pretty on my lids its one of my favorite colors. guess everyones skin is different lol.
