Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: same old, probably, though I’ve been using Bobbi Brown’s “bronzer” in Maui as my blush for most of the week. As an “in memorium” to Sephora’s single eyeshadows, I got out a bunch of them and I’ve been using Cookie Crunch a LOT this week – it is SUCH a beautiful colour. I’ve even pressed it into my eyeliner, something I rarely do (sadly, it didn’t show up all that well).
Most used product of the week: Lise Watier Multi Fini powder foundation and also Sephora Fall Leaves and Cookie Crunch eyeshadows
Any new beauty discoveries: just the “rediscovery” of Multi Fini.

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones. MAC NW 5-10

Favorite look this week: I used my regular base products, foundation, powder and blush. For my eyes I used three different products. I started with my Sedona Lace G**psy palette and taking the matte creamy/white shade I set my eye shadow primer. I used the Milani primer. I then used the deep blue/purple shade in the lower right hand side and applied that in a halo placement on the inner and outer mobile lid and then extended it out in a wing. This is a matte shadow and very deep. It was a little patchy but using a packer brush I was able to build it up to the intensity that I wanted and since I knew I was going to be adding a shadow over the middle I concentrated the color on the outside. I then bridged the colors over the crease and used ColourPop Ripple over the center of the mobile lid and up above the crease. I have such hooded lids that if I don’t extend the shade over the crease you can’t see it. I used Vermeer from Mod Ren palette as inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight although I used it very sparingly on the brow bone. I much prefer a matte shade on the brow bone but didn’t want to hunt for one that was light enough so just went with the Vermeer. I also applied a small amount of Stila Glitter and Glow in the shade, “Into the Blue” on top of Ripple. I also applied some of the Stila on the lower lash line in a very tight to the lash line application. I used L’Oréal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick in Vintage Brick.

Most used product of the week: Besides my base products Sedona Lace Eye Shadow palette in “G**psy.

New beauty discoveries: I had watched Sophia Nygaard mix all of her foundations together to make a new foundation and decided to try it myself. I mixed a small amount of all the foundations I have in my collection including many that I just don’t use anymore and then I added a little moisturizer (Tatcha Water Bomb), a couple of drops of facial oil (Farsali Rose Gold Elixir), a couple of drops of liquid highlighter (Cover FX Celestial), a small amount of Aloe Vera Gel and mixed them all together. It was a tad thicker than I needed so I sprayed a couple of pumps of a setting mist (MAC Fix Plus). I knew that I was going to be using an old cushion compact to hold and apply my new foundation so I needed it just a little more liquid. If I was going to put it into a jar and use it I wouldn’t have used the setting spray. I thoroughly cleaned the old cushion and then wiped it down with alcohol before putting the foundation into the compact. I really like it. I was impressed with how Sophia’s turned out and she has done this with a lot of different products. She mixed all of her eye shadows together to make an eye shadow. It was stunning. She mixed all her liquid lipsticks and came up with a nice liquid lipstick. It is kind of fun!! I am keeping my new foundation in the refrigerator just because of the mixing everything together process although I tried to be as careful and clean as possible. Just a fun little experiment.

SKIN TONE/COLORING: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, dark hair

FAVORITE LOOK WORN: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Vol. 1 Palette, Clinique Brow Shaper and Superfine Brow Liner, Marc Jacobs Matte Highliners in Brownie (upper tightline) and Pink of Me (lower waterline), Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in Desert Beige, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, Laura Mercier Cheek Color in Lotus Pink, a light touch of Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter 01 on my cheekbones, and Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in Emilienne.

MOST USED PRODUCT: Clinique Brow Shaper and Superfine Brow Liner, Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer.

BEAUTY DISCOVERIES: I never would have chosen the Laura Mercier blush shade Lotus Pink for myself, but it was recommended for me by a Saks 5th Ave MUA and I love it! The only thing I need to get used to is how insanely pigmented it is.

Skin tone: NC20.

Favourite look: On the eyes, I had a turquoise with purple and blue shift (ColourPop Superfly) as the main colour, supported by a satin bronze in the crease and outer corner and a light khaki (Chanel Road Movie) in the inner corner. The result is a slightly murky, wearable blue look, which I paired with a luminous, cool-toned red lipstick (Guerlain Rouge G #25). I kept the rest of the face minimal and fresh, with no overall base, spot-concealing, a hint of blush, and some highlight on the cheekbones (Chanel Palette Essentielle 175 Rose Naturel).

Most used product of the week: I’ve been gravitating towards my Chanel Palette Essentielle lately!

New beauty discovery: I do like the renewed Guerlain Rouge G, especially the relative affordability of the new range compared to the old one. I think the separate case and lipstick purchase is something that its fans have wanted for some time: not only is it more economical, it is less wasteful. I find the formula to be slightly different: I feel like the bullets had a harder consistency, and the slip during application has a slightly plasticky note to it, although the general balmy feel of the line is preserved. I wish the new range had more browns and shade names rather than numbers, although the latter might be a blessing in disguise. The case names are trend-deaf at its best and culturally offensive at its worst (G*psy Folk). If Guerlain’s naming is simply going to showcase how out of touch it is with the “younger” (read: post-baby boomer, maybe?) generation and how desperate it is to court said market segment, I guess I can see why they’ve decided to stick with numbers with the shade names. I just wish they had done the same with the cases.

Skin tone : warm with yellow undertones. I wear KVD Lock It Foundation in Medium Neutral 2.

I have not worn makeup much this week because I had a skin infection caused by a scratched insect bite I got on holiday last week and was off work. Yesterday however it felt like the antibiotics had set in and I applied some make up as we went out to the cinema. I wore my usual MAC Whenever You Call eyeshadow with Benefit Coralista blush and a combination of No7 Sugar Mauve lip lacquer and MAC Brave on my lips. I am panning the eyeshadow and lip lacquer and hope to finish them both soon. For bronzer and highlighter I used Laura Geller blush in Tartufo and a Tarte highlighter from the first Twinkle palette.

Most used product is the Child’s Farm moisturiser I applied to my face to ease the redness and help the dryness. This is being hailed as a wonder cream here in the U.K.and I bought it originally for my daughter’s psoriasis. It has worked well for both of us.

New discoveries are the above mentioned moisturiser. Also, whilst away last week the No7 powder that I was panning became lost so I have pulled my Hourglass Dim Light from my stash and am loving it. This teamed with the above mentioned blush and highlighter was really lovely. Will keep using the blush as bronzer whilst I’m tanned. The highlighter is my daughter’s and she will be returning to Uni next week. We have however swapped palettes as she is not a huge fan of the Tarte Twinkle 2 palette and I’m not loving the Bare Minerals You had me at a Glow palette so hopefully I can recreate the look using Volume 2.

Ugh, this lost my comment yesterday, after I typed out my fave look.

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite look you worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. Too Faced Life’s a Festival Palette: Young & Free (crease and lower lid); Funtasy (outer corners of crease and lower lid); Mystic Rain (center of lid, over a DS bright purple satin). Jane Cosmetics Matte Eyeshadow in Iris (outer 1/3 of upper lashline; entire lower lashline). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline). UD Troublemaker Mascara. LIPS — Nyx Liquid Suede Cream in Sway. CHEEKS — Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Blush in Plum Rose; Too Faced Unicorn Tears HL from the palette. FACE — Nyx Angel Veil primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer; Sephora Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.

Most used product of the week: Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Blush in Plum Rose; Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Nude Beach; the usual dailies.

Any new beauty discoveries: I really hate Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Woolf. I got that mini-trio that came out a while ago, hated Woolf, and I recently tried Woolf again. It’s so thin and patchy, and it does not layer on itself well. I’ve never had a KVD Everlasting give me so much trouble. The only way I got it to work was to use it with UD Perversion Lipliner for an ombre, and that was really too much work than I want to do.
