Sephora Deep Water Bay, First Class, All Washed Up Lipstories Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Deep Water Bay (24)
Sephora Deep Water Bay (24) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark orange with warm, red undertones and a glossy, cream finish. The color payoff was fantastic, while the color applied evenly across my lips and helped to smooth out my lip lines. It had a lightly creamy consistency with moderate slip, but it adhered well to my lips within a few minutes and did not slide around too easily while worn. The lipstick wore well for five and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

First Class (25)
Sephora First Class (25) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm, red undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque, but the texture seemed to separate on my lips, so it made it appear less pigmented, particularly around lip lines and any natural texture on my lips. The consistency was smooth and lightly creamy (so I did not expect any issues), so I’m not sure what caused the product to break away along my lip lines, but it did it every time I tried it (four times). It stayed on for five hours, left a stain behind, but it further settled into my lip lines over time. The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating to me.

All Washed Up (26)
Sephora All Washed Up (26) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, medium pinky-red with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good color coverage that applied evenly across my lips. The consistency was thinner, smooth, and just had enough slip to glide on without tugging, but it was less emollient and thinner than most shades in the range. The color wore down to a true matte finish within two hours ofw ear. It lasted for six hours, left a stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Christine, you look beautiful in ever color. I love All Washed Up. I really enjoy the lipstories from Sephora: I have Golden Gate; and, I have also purchased Yum Yum for my older sister, and Berry-licious for my Mom. As for All Washed Up, I think my goddaughter would love it (she veers towards plums, usually; but, also digs a really pretty red). But, she already has Urban Decay Vice in Plaid; and, Mac in Bloodstone. I was also thinking of maybe getting Mac Self Esteem for her; but, I am trying to avoid her having the same color in different brands. Any similarities between All Washed Up and the colors that I have mentioned?
Deep Water Bay is almost a must-have. I say “almost” because I already own so many reds. But the A+ rating is enticing.
What a shame that First Class didn’t perform quite right! Because that is such a beautiful shade of summer orange that doesn’t go in to neon territory. It could have been a winner!
Thankfully, though, Deep Water Bay is utterly AMAZING! It looks very rich and smooth, lasts for quite a bit, and the color is perfect.
Another set of beautiful shades – Deep Water Bay is my favourite. It just proves that you don’t have to spend a lot of money buying expensive lipsticks when you have these great ones at such a fantastic price.
Is anyone else annoyed by the packaging of these three in particular? The “deep water bay” is clearly a sandy beach (usually shallow), “first class” is clearly economy (though stylish economy), and “all washed up” is a bank of DRYERS!
Ok, rant over.
The lipsticks look ok (though that separating thing is weird).
The “First Class” packaging does look like the economy section! Lol!! But it’s arty and fun. My first impression of the name“Deep Water Bay” was that it sounded like the name of a beachside resort, so the packaging made sense to me. But the dryers at a laundromat? Really weird!
Unbrake my heart…..? Lol! Oh! Nooo! First Class I have to my daughter on her birthday but she dies likes it and is beautiful! I lived swathing a pure gold color they have wouldn’t know how to wear it unless as a topper or mix it? Is gorgeous! Pure gold! Forgot it’s name though. For someone young and tanned, it would be a fun color for Summer.
Oops! Gave, does, loved. Auto correct from hell. Hate it! Sorry. ??♀️
I have Deep Water Bay and I love it. I think it helps me break out of winter. It’s so nice!
