ColourPop New Theory Lippie Stix Set Review, Photos, Swatches
New Theory
ColourPop New Theory Lippie Stix Set ($25.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a six-piece set of slim lipsticks across three finishes (Matte, Creme, and Matte X). It’s a solid set of lipsticks ranging from peachy-brown to rich, warm red. I liked the variety, and the quality was good overall–pigmented, long-wearing, and even application.
New Theory
LELimited Edition. $33.00.
Ink Blot
Ink Blot is a medium, peachy-brown with warm undertones and a satin finish. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, while the consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and comfortable to apply and to wear. The lipstick wore well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.0352 oz. - $198.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.
The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.
The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Sike
Sike is a medium, peachy-coral with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented, and it had a lightly creamy, smooth consistency that wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it adhered well to lips and didn’t emphasize my lip lines. This shade stayed on well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating to me.

Little Tings is a medium pink with subtle,w arm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was opaque in one layer, and the lipstick was creamy enough to glide across my lips without tugging but did not feel slippery while worn. The finish was smoothing and flattering without emphasizing my lip lines. It wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating.

Little Tings
LELimited Edition. $7.00.
Lullaby
Lullaby is a rich, medium red with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly on my lips. The texture was lightweight, velvety, and incredibly smooth without being wet. I noticed that there was some color that pulled into my lip lines, but the brightness and richness of the color helped minimize the impact of that. The color stayed on well for six hours, left a stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.0352 oz. - $170.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full-coverage" with a "super matte" finish that has a "lightweight and velvety feel." I'd agree with all of those things--most shades were opaque while a few were more semi-opaque to mostly opaque. The texture has a silicone-heavy feel to it, so it has the velvety slip that used to be more typical of face primers than lip products, but this silicone-heavy type of formula has made its way into lip products to give a more matte finish with a smoother, more velvety consistency. The consistency feels a bit denser, though it remains lightweight, and usually delivers even coverage in a single stroke that doesn't tug. The formula wears anywhere from four to eight hours on me, and it is typically neither drying nor hydrating. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Persuasion
Persuasion is a medium-dark berry with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was good, though just shy of truly full coverage, while the lipstick felt creamy enough to glide on without tugging but stayed on nicely during wear. The color went on evenly and wore well for five and a half hours. The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating to me.

This is a really great mix of colors!
I like Persuasion and Little Tings.
Every single one of these look good! And I know that I would use them all, too. Just trying to hold off until after the Sephora Rouge sale before buying any more makeup.
Really vibrant shades for spring and summer. They look beautiful.
Mine arrived just this morning! I CANNOT wait to wear Lullaby…
Little Tings and Fly Fi also look great and I sometimes struggle with peachy browns and nudes but Ink Blot and Sike are definitely wearable for me. Persuasion is everything I wanted it to be too 🙂
I think it’s a really great set and the box is super cute!
This is a nice set with a good variety of colors. I really enjoy ColourPop Lippie Stix formula, they did a good job for a reasonable price.
I love the Lippie Stix I already own, so this set is very enticing, but I have dupes for all of these shades, so I’ll pass. Not easy, though. I went to Colourpop and put them in the cart, but I successfully stopped myself a second before my finger clicked the purchase button.
Every single color is so good. I am looking forward to getting them.
The dupes notes say that Lullaby is 95% similar to 714, and Fly-Fi is 90%, but the two colors aren’t even close IMO. I have 714 and I’d say it’s just like Lullaby and in a completely different family form Fly-Fi.
That aside, it’s a really nice set.
