Tom Ford Lost Cherry Lip Color Review & Swatches
Lost Cherry
Tom Ford Beauty Lost Cherry Lip Color ($60.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a rich, deeper red with very cool undertones that gave it more of a raspberry red hue. I found it appeared redder (less pink) on my lips, though, as it was nearly opaque. The consistency was lightly creamy, smooth, and comfortable to apply and to wear. There was faint pearl in the finish that was so fine that I wasn’t quite sure I saw it when I swatched it initially but could see the luminosity on my lips clearly. It wore well for five and a half hours and was hydrating.
This shade is limited edition, and it has popped up at retailers over the last couple of weeks and then sold out quickly; looks like Beautylish has it!

Formula Overview
$57.00/0.1 oz. - $570.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed have an "ultra-creamy texture" with "smooth application" that will deliver "pure color." The lipstick tends to have semi-opaque to opaque coverage with a natural to luminous finish with some shades with very fine pearl and others with more metallic shimmer. The consistency is typically creamy, lightweight, and has moderate slip, which makes it comfortable to wear and to apply but is not the most long-lasting lipstick formula. The wear tends to range between four and six hours with some shades performing above and below that range. There's a vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

I saw this pop up on Sephora Canada last night and noticed that it was nearly $10 more than regular TF lipsticks. It’s a beautiful shade but I don’t think I can justify that price for it. On the other hand, this look REALLY makes me want to shell out for the Gold Palette.
Ouch! I think it was only $6 US difference but still unnecessary, lol.
This color is beautiful. You look so stunning.
A stunning shade of red – and a beautiful eye look.
Gorgeous colour but easily duped with so many shades you’ve listed that also earned A marks and cost a fraction of this one. I refuse to buy TF because of his pricing. $79 PLUS taxes…for a LIPSTICK??? Just outrageous.
But *of course* I would fall madly in love with this shade! I have at least 3 dupes, all MAC, another one of EL’s “children”. Admittedly, I may have a red lipstick addiction….?
Anyway, Lost Cherry is a beautiful shade of softly luminous red!
Really pretty shade. I have so many reds that I can’t justify buying anymore while on my no-buy!! That sounds funny because a no-buy would mean I didn’t need justification, you know, LOL!!
I love cool reds. Got the perfume from my husband for Christmas, I’m so pleased I found the Lip Color on Beautylish. Thanks for the thorough review.
How do you like the perfume?
Very sophisticated. I should hope.. this lipstick is over $80 dollars with taxes. Oy!
For $60 it should be an A+++ and do my laundry. 😉 The color is beautiful, but the name is awful- Tom Ford’s recent obsession with explicit names has really turned me off the brand.
Agree completely. I would think they are isolating their market with the meant to be provocative name paired with the excessively high cost. Most people young enough to think the name is cute or clever can’t shell out this much for a lipstick, lol.
“For $60 it should be an A+++ and do my laundry.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. lol
I read this and just loved the colour. But I just picked up Revlon Cherry Blossom on a whim since you rated it so highly and it seemed a gorgeous colour. I don’t normally buy DS lipsticks, either. I have 2. I was thrilled to see the Revlon on the dupe list for this Tom Ford lipstick and to see how close they look. Still no Tom Ford lipsticks in my collection. Money saved by Temptalia…again.
I just ordered this lipstick from Beautylish and can’t wait to get it. I just love the formula of the TF lipsticks. I researched the dupes and none of them seem to come close to this color. It looked beautiful on you. I truly believe the TF lipsticks are worth the price. I’m a lipstick addict and TF is the best lipstick ever!
Ooooh!
Ditto, oooh!
As a follow up to my comment, I received my TF Lost Cherry lipstick from Beautylish. This is the first time I’ve ordered from them and I was so impressed. The packaging was beautiful. Even had a personalized note to me. I just love this color and the formula. It does look better if I apply it with a brush. It’s fabulous and so worth it. Also, I ordered for the first time an Ilia lipstick, which is organic. The long, cold winters in Chicago really dry out my lips, so I thought I’d try something hydrating. I got Around the World, which is a purply color and I really like it. Totally different than my TF, has a bit of a taste to it, but supposed to be fragrance free. I’m going to keep it because I like the feel on my lips. I’ve tried just about every lipstick brand, and I usually purchase if Christine gives it an A review. So, again, was not disappointed. Thanks Christine!
Let us know if the Ilia lipstick does wonders for your lips, Andrea!
Will do! ??
