Givenchy Rouge Insomnie (12) Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brighter, medium red with cool, pink undertones and a natural sheen. It had good color coverage, though it was not full coverage. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and felt comfortable to wear and was nicely moisturizing over time. The color wore well for six hours but feathered slightly along my upper lip line.
The formula is supposed to have "vibrant, satin color" with "long-lasting wear" and "absolute comfort." The best part about the formula is that it is very hydrating, but the downside is shorter wear time (three to five hours) and a more balm-like texture that slides around and can be more high-maintenance with deeper shades. The pigmentation varied from shade to shade (based on the six I tried) from semi-opaque to opaque coverage. There was a sweet, floral scent and subtle taste (sometimes I noticed it, other times I did not).
